If we lose electricity, the forum will be off.

Electricity has been on & off this evening.

We will see how long the u.p.s. battery can run these websites.

The hurricane in two words:  "what storm?"

It was actually a nice day.  Overcast but a nice temperature.  Windy enough to make driving a full size cargo van an interesting experience.  But no damage anywhere as far as I know.

We were "promised" 70mph gusts last week and a nasty storm. WHat did we get? 5 min of rain and wind and that was it. Nowhere near 70mph, 20mph maybe. Wish I had a job where I could be wrong 80%+ of the time and not get fired. :D

Setting the scene....
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation -  Chevy Chase trying to figure out why he can not turn on the thousands of lights he just installed all over his house.

OK,  Wednesday morning I tripped over a cable when I was on my way out the door to work.  The security system notified me it lost internet, but I figured, let it go til I get home.   Did not occur to me I dropped internet from the web server, my VOIP telephone, security, etc etc etc.
