Can anyone tell me what the rule is on windshields for the various classes? we are running mw/ss,gtu,mw/sb,mw/gp. A friend of mine just looked at our 2 bikes and said mw/ss does not allow a double bubble windshield but I can't find anything in the 2008 rules and regs that says anything about windshields. HELP!!!! Leaving for Daytona Tuesday. I have nowhere here to buy a stock windshield in time for the trip.

Theres double bubble in mw/ss all teh time. AFAIK theres no winshield rule in CCS. Wera I think has a rule about those in SS, but you'll have to ask Mongo for sure.

Double-bubbles are definitely not allowed in WERA SuperStock - I think that they're OK for Superbike and the Formula series.  I've never had a problem with DB's in CCS tech.  I believe that tint is legal all around.

CCS allows about anything.  WERA, no double bubble style in SS.

What does WERA care what windshields you have? I can't see any real performance advantage in a windshield...

They supposedly give an aero advantage.  IIRC, double-bubbles aren't legal in AMA SuperSport, so that's probably why WERA does it, to mimick the class as closely as possible.

WERA's rules have always been closer to the production side of supersport where CCS's supersport is sometimes pretty far off from production and is very much related to superbike.
