I know there's a slew of threads and posts about tires :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: but I had some questions and thought I would throw them out.

I got a good deal on Mich power race tires so I bought a ton of them. I was planning on doing Dunlops but Dunlop was on strike and I couldn't find any good deals. Well now I have a good hook up for Dunlop slicks and dots. I've been told that Dunlop's profile is the same between slicks and dots and rains so they were better when switching out because no adjustments had to be made to the suspension.

Questions:

1. Is there enough of a change when switching back and forth from Mich to Dunlop that changing the set up would be required???

B. The mich. I have are soft front med rear. The Dunlop slicks I can get will be a hard compound. I know they will last a wee bit longer but would they stick as well as the med or soft compounds??? I've never ran a hard compound tire before.

III. What can I expect from the soft, med, and hard compounds with cooler or warmer outside temps.???

thanks

I say find a tire guy you like and trust and buy from him. All the DOTs are pretty close anyway, at the club level I don't think the tires are the limiting factor.
