Title: Question on carrying retail
Post by: spyderchick on April 07, 2005, 12:14:32 PM
For those of you with an opinion, (yup, I mean YOU), I'm trying to put together a wish list of stuff I might carry as retail product for 2006.

T-shirts and hats are already a given and will be available soon.

I'm also thinking of carrying other gear related items, such as pucks, armor and back protectors but also perhaps a line of Spyder gear: helmet bags and specialty cases. A couple of years ago, I made a visor case for Brian McLaughlin for his tinted and clear visors, so things like that.

If you have any suggestions as what you think you would like to see, shoot me an email at  alexa@spyderleatherworks.com

Thanks!

Knee pucks, padded helmet bags and spine protectors would be cool.

Alexa made me some great holders for my shields. They are lined so they do not scratch the shield. They velcro together so they are all in the same spot. If you are interested, stop by at the track and I will show them to you. Maybe in the next day or two I'll take a picture and post it (Alexa, I'll send you a copy if it turns out ok, if you like).

Thanks Brian, I would be looking to refine that design.

That could be in the works. Right now I just don't have the time or man power.

Hangars (good ones) that can hold the whole weight of a one piece suit without snapping. Definetly needed for the trailer.  I can't remember how many times we'd leave the track with the leathers hanging up, only to find the hangar broke when we got home.  Only good one I found so far was made out of solid wood with a steel hook.

and

chain links...

I think anything leather/armor related is a sure bet.

Pucks,
Under leather wear; like Impact shorts, Vented long under wear and maybe you can invent something to get rid of Racer "Daiper Butt" or maybe a Faux backside or something :P

If you are going to be selling trackside... Hoodies for those not so warm RA Mornings.
Rain suits...

Something else I would like to see/have... A bag/carrier for my leathers, boots and helmets. (all in one)

Just my 2.5 cents ;D

The Spyder stickers DO look good on the bike, though!  And the Lithium Motorsports logo across my azz is really cool!  It's so big!  (But then again, I guess I have a pretty big azz....

I bet if you could find a supplier for UnderArmor at a decent price you could do well selling their items.  Insulated for cold weather, microfiber for hot weather.
