Title: Daytona CCS race weekend
Post by: RickyRacer on February 04, 2002, 10:19:35 AM
What's a good lap time for someone running a lightweight bike like say an SV or 750SS Duc?

I get butterflies just thinking about racing there. It'll be my first time so if you have any advice and or things to look out for, I'm all eyes. :D

Hmmm...2:15's for an amateur on a supersport SV are decent.  I think the amateur national champ in a couple of classes was doing 2:08's.  (But he's about 120 lbs soaking wet.)

Are there any shower stalls at the track to use?

2:15 would an excellent time for anyone on a LW bike. 2:08 though, would be someone on a fast SuperSport or a SuperBike. There were lots of guys turning those times during the Daytona 200 race.
