Title: Rules are too vague
Post by: cardzilla on July 01, 2004, 02:50:08 AM
I must say that while I love grey areas to get creative with, I almost wish CCS had a WERA style rulebook for supersport (they say what you CAN do... if it isn't there, you can't do it).  I am a little confused about the motor modifications.  I don't consider a starter to be part of the motor... so does that mean I can remove it?  What about the charging system?  I would the answer to the first question would be yes and I'm thinking no on the latter, but hoping ;). I've been out of racing for 10 years and some stuff is a little cloudy.  Thanks for any help in advance.

Actually, it's yes to both. You can remove the starter and the charging system.

If you ever have any doubts about something that is on the border of the rules, you can always call or email Kevin Elliot at CCS and he will determine if it is legal or not.
