MAM 5-24-03

Kevin
What the Heck is this, are you looking for sympathy or what. Ok so you didn't do that good at Blackhawk, yea right, and as for MAM it was in the rain no less. Come on now you know you are a sandbagger and some people could have used your talents Saturday am at MAM by the way the paddock looked.

Well, Kevin.  Considering that I started on the expert pole at MAM and you beat me, I guess you know which way I voted!  Yes, I know it was my first time out on rain tires, but still... ;D
Let's see if you turn out to be amateur F40 champ AGAIN this year.

I don't have 2 sets of wheels so I was out on DOT's for 4 races on Saturday (2 rain races - 1 wet with a line appearing, and 1 mostly dry). Every bike I saw in the wet races had rain tires on, so I looked like I was barely moving (almost got lapped twice in my 1st wet race!  :o). If anything I look like an amateur posing as an expert so far this year!  ;D

I blistered my rain tires in the semi-dry  >:(

But, had a blast sliding everywhere on the super soft rubber, so I guess it was kind of worth it!  ;D  Even got a 3rd of 8, thanks to someone failing tech by not showing up  :-[

I wave as I go by...  It's weird to be lapping folks and getting lapped at the same time.

Too bad Rob and Shawn didn't wave.  I said hi as they lapped me but they just ignored me. :-[

In the MWGP race, the 3 lead experts lapped me going into turn 14. I had the best seat in the house to watch the finish.  ;D  The 3rd place rider tried to take a tight line on the exit, gave it too much gas and almost highsided! He was about 5 feet in front of me!  :o I hate getting lapped in a sprint race. 1 less lap to experience. :'(  I got lapped in Am GTU by that kid on the ZXRR. D*mn sandbagger. ;D

Sandbagger; A person that competes in a lower level to stroke their ego. (Not a person thats getting his arse handed to him in the middleweight classes this year) ;D

A cherry-picker is a fast guy that picks on slow guys. A sandbagger says he's slow so he can race the slow guy class. Oh, I guess I am a sandbagger. (Except for the being fast part. :-*)

Hit "Educated English Snob" sound effects button...
A Yellow Plated Sandbagger is a species indiginous, but not limited to, the Kansas City area.  Known for it's incredible speed, the Yellow Plated Sandbagger is also easily recognizable for it's unique call: "I'm sloooooow...  Just because I won regional chaaaampionships, I shouldn't have to run a whiiiiite plate!" ;D
