Title: numbers
Post by: jethro on July 15, 2014, 05:54:47 PM
New here. My AHRMA number has a letter following 2 digits. Are letters allowed in CCS? Sure would be good to not have to change between events.

While I can't remember reading anything specifically about letters, in all my years going to race tracks no one has ever had a letter in CCS or WERA. So I would say it's a no go.

I saw a letter last year at a CCS event, IIRC it was a AHRMA guy.  They might have just let him do it for the weekend.

Also, CCS is starting to crack down on numbers and how they look on the bike.

Guess I should call or find a number good for CCS, AHRMA & WERA.

Got a call from Eric at CCS. We've got it all worked out so I can have the same number for all 3 orgs. And at my age I would've prolly had the wrong number on usually.

Only time I ever seen a letter on a ccs bike is when we have 2 numbers identical (ie someone from another region showing up) and one has to put an 'x' on their bike.

Putting your # on the body, under your foot peg helps corner marshalls keep u safe..also gives spectators a better view...check the 4 and 2 in AMA PRO...
