Title: 12 Months barely surpassed- How to get license?
Post by: foxrider64 on February 22, 2013, 09:52:17 AM
Hey, good morning all.
I am looking to get in to the 2013 CCS racing season in the 250 Thunderbike class.
I did the Team Hammer school at Daytona in October of 2011- so now 15 months ago.  I was filling out my application over the weekend and see that the timeframe to apply is 12 months from the school's completion.
Being as you can not apply for a season in the prior year, I would have had to got my license in 2012 regardless because I could not apply for a 2013 license in October of 2012- correct?
My primary question is- how can I get my license without having to pay out the butt for another course before the April 6th race weekend?  I see Frank Kinsey does licensing seminars at the CCS practice days- what does that entail, what are the costs, etc?

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

You could email Kevin Elliott (his email is on the ccsracing.us site) and see if he'd take the Team Hammer school cert even though you are 3 months out. Worst he can say is no. Doesnt hurt to ask.
