Can I pull the snorkel off my stock airbox and be legal to run my sv in supersport?

airbox must remain stock,03 and up you can put different airfilter.99-02 we have to use stock filter as aftermarket filters have a bigger hole in the center.

The snorkel on 03- is air restriction point that makes it regulated part. On 99-02 the air box opening is formed by airfilter, last I looked BMC stock/street filter is same size as OEM; BMC race and K&N are oversize.
