Title: Need a good recommendation for car transport from midwest to California
Post by: dylanfan53 on August 10, 2010, 01:20:57 PM
Recent eye surgery (again) has not only ended my season, it's also killed plans to drive to California to drop off a car for my son.  Since there are a few car guys here I thought I'd ask if anyone has a good recommendation for car transport across country.  An internet search turns up a lot of fake reviews and a lot of solicitations.  The car is just basic transportation he needs for work and school, nothing exotic.
Thanks in advance.

Will it drive the distance, Don?

What's your time frame?

It'll get there no problem.  Needs to be there around 8/23 - 8/25.  My plans changed unexpectedly in a hurry so I'm thinking a transport is the best option now.

U-ship.com.  Used them extensively to ship our 05R6 endurance bike back & forth from Tx.  THey ship cars also.

Fly your son home and let him drive it back....

Yeah, but he was already here and needed to get back.  Pretty tough to find work in CA without wheels.  We ended up with option B.  My nephew and he made a road trip out of it, which was a relief since I was reluctant to have him go alone.  It's a shame.  I love road trips...
