Are velocity stacks considered part of the Airbox or Throttle bodies?
No - I've checked with CCS on this in the past.
I believe they're considered part of the TB's... I think
Any more input?
Burt?
Send an email to CCS they answered 1 of my questions when I needed some information about the rules. Your not allowed to modify the air inlets on the airbox, stacks don't really know.
info@ccsracing.us correct?
email sent. Thanks!
"Hello Charles,
We have ruled that velocity stacks are part of tuning and not covered as long as they do not form the seal between the carbs and the airbox. If they do form that seal, they are part of the airbox and need to remain as produced. (This is a gray area and I know it has been a tough one for everyone.)
Hope that helps.

Smokey Yunick is the absolute MASTER when it comes to pushing the rules to the limit. He'd make Burt Munroes hair turn gray (if he HAD hair :lmao:)
