Title: Frame and swingarm check.
Post by: sixrrr on July 08, 2009, 05:18:27 PM
I was in turn 1 at Summit when a runaway bike hit my rear tire. The rider was off the bike, well prior, at 150mph so I don't know how fast it was going when it hit me. The rear rim split and folded in on itsself. By looking at it I can't see any offset in the swingarm but the axle shows signs of being pinched. Everythings been pulled and checked for the usual cracks worn bearings etc . My question is; other than Scranton Pa, is there a Computrack Tech closer to Baltimore that might be able to check my geometry. Thanks in advance.

Yeah - Scranton would be the closest .
http://gmd-computrack.com/network.html (http://gmd-computrack.com/network.html) lists all of the GMD-Computrack shops.

Dont complain, I'd have to drive or ship to Atlanta from St. Louis if I needed something done. :whine:

It would be cheaper to just replace the swinger with a known good unit and be done with it.

I did find a few swingarms but I am not sure the frame didn't take a good bit of the force. Thanks for the help.
