Title: Heartland Park Gearing for GSXRs
Post by: ryan960 on March 30, 2009, 01:06:20 PM
Looking for anyone who has ridden the track. Wondering what people are running for gearing? I am running:

08 GSXR 600 - supersport motor
06 GSXR 750 - superbike motor

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if the gear ratio is the same from 06-07 compared to your 08 GSXR 600, but 15/46 worked pretty well for my stock  (110 hp) 06 GSXR 600.  Not for sure about your 750.

I was curious about this too. I have an '07 w/ an SS motor and am looking for HPT and BHF gearing suggestions. Would I need to drop a tooth in the rear with the extra 8-10 hp over stock?

Depends on your corner speed, lap tiems and riding style...  I was just barely hitting the rev limiter with the 15/46 gearing on two corners, so I would think you could get away with 15/45 at HPT on your SS motor.  I also ran 15/46 at BHF (and just about everywhere else) and it seemed fine.  I don't run very well there though.

15/45 or 46 should be a good starting point for you.  Good luck!!

Cool, thanks for the recommendation. I've heard that rev limiter because I've been watching your HPT videos on youtube, good stuff.

15/45...similar to 16/48 but you'll get more drive out with 15/45
