Title: Ed Key off season training techniques
Post by: Burt Munro on November 25, 2008, 11:56:35 PM
A rare video has surfaced of Ed Key training during the off season.

Careful study of these techniques  may help you understand how Ed has been able to achieve over 100 National Championships during his career.  :thumb:

Burt,

I can understand your confusion as the little fella does share my in slow, square the apex and out fast cornering technique. I can assure you however,  that is not me.

My tail is much thicker and way better groomed.

Ed

Did Ed repaint his bike recently?

It's prep work for the 2009 season.  He's got the standard yellow fast bikes, the super fast red bike and new for next season will be the uber fast blue bike.

(I heard a rumor that for some reason he's had to resort to color coding them - not that I know anything about memory tricks once you turn 50!)

He should have used brail to code them.  He is color blind

That clearly is not a spider monkey. Therefor no relation to the Ed.

Ohh and Ed, read up on the new asra weight rules? someones conspiring against you. The good news is I can run a 135hp sv.  finally it pays to be a basketball player riding a motorcycle.

Color blind?  Hmmm, that should have some clandestine possibilities, but even if your bike were painted a lovely shade of asphalt grey to blend in with the track you'd still have to catch him to sneak up on him.

I'd have better luck beating that monkey.

(Somehow that last sentence just didn't sound right...)   :err:

Good thing you keep your tail tucked into your Kevlar-leathers Ed, or we'd latch on when you passed by!

That's what I need!!!! Actually you know what? Santa, I really wanted a cool helmet camera but I want my own little furry Ed Key instead. I can just take him out of his cage at the race track and be like... "What's up now?, Who wants to race?"

None. Bicycle riding is physically strenuous. Ed does not do anything that requires physical exertion. Ask Barb.

As my wife Mary pointed out there is now way that is Ed Key. Although the resemblance is uncanny, Ed lacks the upper body strength to lift the bike up and turn it around like that!

Gary

How wrong you are Gary, you clearly have never seen the "other" side of our favorite furry LW fast guy. As a few have learned the hard way, once the infamous spider monkey gets those python arms locked around you its all over. I would suggest never provoking The Ed, even something as slight as a kiss on the cheek from a certain carbon fabricator and microphone loudmouth  has been known to send The Ed into a spider monkey esque back attacking frenzy. Dont mess with The Ed.

Ya he got that look in his eyes like Ralfy on the movie Christmas story, he sprung at me like a cat, then that bastard beat the living crap out of my sun glasses.

It was a terrifying moment of inaccurately executed attack!!!
