Title: SS legal? removing emissions
Post by: spymoto on October 14, 2008, 05:23:57 AM
I've got an 03 R6 and started to race the supersport class. I've seen some articles about removing the emissions stuff to eliminate the poping, reduce weight and add easier tuning. The emissions stuff includes: removing the motor/pump, hoses to the air box and the ones from the top of the motor to the pump, and blocking off the outlets.

If I remove this stuff and other things like the radiator fan, will I be breaking any rules?

Thanks!

In CCS, you would still be legal for supersport.  In WERA, no.  Regardless, for both, you'd be legal in superbike.
