Man, Robert Jensen was puttin' on a clinic this weekend.
Turned a 1:08:06 on the R1 that I believe he's trying to sell!
Good racing, fo' sho'! :thumb:
wow... just.... wow
There wasnt much racing when he was on the r1....which is for sale. Danny O kept him in sight in the mw or hw race that I saw. Definately fun to watch, especially going into 1 and in turn 5....wow

You ready to go back to Blackhawk, Tim???
Yeah, he just picked up the R1 from Rocky Stargel on monday. This weekend was the first time he had ever ridden it. Not bad, huh!
He got into the low 9's with the 600 too.

Classic Jensen. He likes to slide that rear.
the front was what amazed me going into 5. I've never seen a front end dive that much while leaned over. It just looked so violent

Fast, Harder, Deeper.
I did a 1:09.50 on my 2008 R6 today faster then the old track record,
which both Robert Jensen and I lapped faster then the previous track record(1:09.7 by Mark Junge on his GSXR1000) on Yamaha R6s. Today in MWSS Robert Jensen did a 1:09.47 and I did a 1:09.50. He edged me out by a little. He won that race but I kept him honest & made him work for it.
I know this is would could of....lol But if I had the right rear tire I could of beat him...I was running a Med rear which is too hard to go super fast on....I was spinning it everywhere...on about lap 4 or 5 in the mwss race I had a huge rear slide leaving the carousal which I lost a little ground and that was it I wasn't able to make it up...but up until that point the race was going just as planned...I was gonna follow him and pull a Duhamel (the sly fox) on the last lap and make a pass....
Again would of could of....
Next time I'll see what I have for him....
Well this weekend I didn't destroy anything or myself...went faster then the old track record...
4 wins (expert MWGP, GTU, HWSS, & HWSB)
3 2nds all to Robert Jensen....
Robert Jensen crushed the old track record Saturday with a 1:08.6 on his R1 in the GTO race.
So yea the track was fast this weekend.
Oh yeah and my ideal lap time taking my fastest split times was a 1:08.94, so yeah it"s my new goal on a 600 is to do a 1:08 I just have to put it together.

I just hope its not 110 with 98% humidity... I'm gonna start hydrating now
Sounds like a good weekend for ya Dan, good to see ya back faster than ever!!
Congrats to Robbie & Dan for their record breaking times along with everyone else who went faster this weekend! There were lots of good races to watch!
It seems the track was perfect conditions all weekend. I wish I could have run with you guys. Next month I hope the conditions are just as good. I look forward to trying to improve on my times.
Tommy Girard & A.J. Krause both went the fastest they ever did also.
I'm training hard for next month. Can't wait to race!

You are my hero!!!
When I hear all this talk about 1:09s and 1:08s...... I get dizzy.
How the hell you guys do it??????????
It's just AMAZING.
As Wayne said: "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy...)
That was an outstanding job, Oretga. Jensen was FAST, but you were right with him - that was an amazing show!
Awesome times Dan... I'm amazed at how quickly you surpassed your old speed for being off the bike for a year... Good job!
Its the all in the tires. Just ask him.
THAT'S THE COOL THING ABOUT B/H YOU CAN HIT THE SAME LAP TIMES ON A 600 OR 1000, DOING IT ON A 600 SOUNDS A LITTLE MORE FUN THOUGH . NICE WORK DAN. :thumb:
AND ROB. :thumb:
Nice job Dan you were haulin ass and thanks again for helping me with my R6. I dropped 1-1/2 seconds off my previous best.
The overall track record at Blackhawk for motorcyles prior to last weekend was a 1:08:9 set by Mark Junge, Wegman weekend in 2004.
This post is not intended to take away any personal glory from Dan or Rob. They are both friends of mine. : )
I'm just stating a fact.
Larry
larry, i'm sure you still have a 108 ... or 109 ...left in ya. @ B/H WHAT DO YOU THINK?

You bought an SV???
There might be four people on the LW grid now!
buy one? nope, but I'm racing one :thumb:
After turning 4 consecutive track records in 4 consecutive laps, Jensen told me in that interview that he's looking to turn 1:07.???! It didn't happen this time but I think it will soon. Of course, with Ortega pushing as well as he did, maybe he'll do it first! Thanks to all for a fun and fast weekend.
