Umm, I hope to be there if I can get everything together in time. I need to do some front suspension oil adjustments, re do some of the old safety wire, paint, mount a tail, and change the oil and filter. Less than 1 month!

I haven't even started working on my new bike it's still in full street trim BUT it does have a whopping 50 miles on it...I'm still waiting for parts. I guess I'm gonna have to bust my butt on this one.. ;D

Paul said he will be there if the weather is ok. I think he has flashbacks of RA last spring. What was the wind chill that day? I hope he goes he has been my mr miaggi this off season with the prep of my bike. Then again if he doesn't go he can't rip me for how slow I am. Forget that he'll rip me anyway

Super Duck, You're absolutely right, GIVEN I have the materials. I still need $ to afford a tail, and paint, etc. So, it's also a matter of getting enough $ in time to get that stuff done. We shall see. I'm hoping it gets warm enough to paint before the first BHF. My sponsor will be paying (when they send the check ::)) for a bike that looks presentable. I hope to be able to give that to them
Nate, use a rattle can and follow Roger's advice on spotty paint jobs: Just cover the runs with a sticker. ;)

Making it simple, too: All yellow. But, I still need some warmth to paint. Maybe the 15th/16th? According to the forecast as of now, its supposed to be a high of like 47 those days. That is, if I can get my tail by then. Argh. Sponsor........Must........Send..........$$$
That's cool Nate. Remember, nice light even strokes, overlapping the previous pass by just a bit. Not too dry, not too wet. Allow enough time for each coat to flash off before you apply the next. If you can add those cool halogen lights to your setup, you can put each piece in front of them to provide more heat and accelerate the drying process. Patience is key, young grasshopper. Too much paint and you get runs and baggers. And remember...there are always those stickers.

LWSS looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get to know a lot of you SV Ams, as well as other racers. (And I especially hope you other LWSS racers get to know the back of my bike pretty well ;) Time will tell if I can ride quickly or not.

Well.... sort of.
It will have some sort of fairing and belly pan on it. As of todays date the only part that is assembled is the front forks are in the triple clamps, the front tire is on and the engine has not been removed from the frame. Other than that, the bike is in pieces.
I can just see it. We will be having a few nights just before the first race weekend where we will be up until midnight or later. ::)
