Hey man....Haven't you heard?  CCS announced their contingency listing.  Yeah, I read it about 2 weeks ago on RRW's website.

I checked CCS's site today, and the contingency listing will be up this week.  ::)

I know, thus the  ::) at the end.  What a joke.

Jesus, give the freaking list to me, I will create the damn page, and put it on the web.

Do they know they can just freaking convert a word document to a web format by hitting a damn button.  The season has already started, and no contingency has been posted.

Um, which is pretty much unreadable.

But honestly, I'm not sure that there is an excuse for racers not having licenses.  I mean, we start the same time of year every year, January 1...

And if we never seem to get them, why do we even have to have them to show we have one?  Just an observation.

On this subject, I suggested to CCS that they bump up the licensing application process a bit so that credentials and rule books can be sent out by Daytona. Would December 1 be too early to pay for the license provided they were in racers hands by say February 15th? Other suggestions?

I bought my license June 1st last year.  I *never* rec'd one.  I had the paper one in my wallet for a few months before it disintigrated itself.  After that, I just hoped I'd never get asked for it.

I guess it is hard to read!

I totally agree with ya!  I am printing them as fast as I can!!  Just waiting on supplies now!

December 1 to get by Feb 15th!!!!!!!??????!!!!! Do you realize that that is almost two months?  LOL.  I'd pay early to get it, but damn.  Count me in for that plan next year if your looking for support.  I would rather wait for the hard copy license and see what the HELL the 2003 Contingency is.  Tell them to email or fax it to me and I'll post it on my website.  Pretty sad.

Contingency is a function of the problems in the MC industry.

As for rules...

NASCAR teams were furious that the PRI show when they didn't have rules at the end of November.

It's terrible what were put through.

Sorry to hear about your struggle with CCS.  Down here in the good ole south (CMRA) we have our contingencies posted, licenses, and we are gearing up for round two on March 16th.  Oh yeah, snow !!!  We don't have any stinking snow.  Our February 23rd race weekend peaked with a 78 degree day and 38% humidity.  ;D ;D ;D

It was in the mid 80's here...but we still don't have any licenses or contingency info.  I'm embarrassed for CCS.  Basically every other racing org out there has their's friggin posted, and has for some time now...and don't get me started on results.  With so many people willing to do it for them, what the heck is the damn problem?  And don't tell me to go race with somebody else...I shouldn't have to.  Venting done.

What's even funner is if you call them and leave a voice mail then wait for a callback.  :'(

At least they answer the phone sometimes... checking voicemail is another matter. I do wonder sometimes, when so many people call them, how does Tiffiney ever get any work done? I was on hold for like 45 minutes once cuz she was on the phone, I can just picture she on the phone for 4 hours a day answering questions. Maybe if things are better organized we wouldn't have so many questions to ask

I agree, they are nice enough if you're lucky enough to catch one of them when they have a free moment.

i paid for my license 3/23/02 !!!

i got a glimpse of what one looked like at a race weekend 7am sign in, as another guy was presenting his at the counter.

I'VE been called a WHINER on this board a b*tcher and a moaner.

but,

if i pay for a license a year ago, shouldnt i get at least a notice of why i dont have it?

without chasing someone down for it?

esp if other org's have their sh*t together....wtf >:(

it's just different if you're asking for something, or if you're being PAID,
BUT "WE" pay them Alot of money..

Too far for WERA.  Otherwise it might be an option.
