Road Racing World's website.

Why is it that we have to go to other websites to find results of our races??

No comment.   :-/

By the way, anybody in FL region keep track of the points since there is no other way to tell?  I might be interested in doing it.  Maybe I'll call Henry when he gets back.

hey thanks! I just got back 5 minutes ago. Did pretty well I think, led the Sportbike race for 2 laps until the eventual winner drafted me on the 3rd lap. My 99 R6 can't keep up :( I would get down to 1 second in turn 1 and at the chicane, but loose him on the banking. So is the story for the entire weekend. I was happy to get that 2nd though, Its my first top 5 weekend, and I actaully led at Daytona!!! Good feeling.

Hope everyone else made home safely. I lost my ATM card, my trailer lights, and one of my headlights. Took 30 hours and help from a friend to get home (I had no cash and can't get to my bank account). But all in all, as in Daytona fashion, it was exciting!

I was thinking the same damn thing.

[rant] I'm planning on going for SE points this year, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay this much to race, and have some half-a$$ed.... nevermind. [/rant]

I did something about it: I took pictures of all of the race results and posted them on my website. I'm planning on doing some OCR stuff and getting this into a more streamlined format (.xls or .mdb or .htm), but for now, you can check out the pics. (I'm planning on being at all the SE region CCS races -- so I should have results from those posted a day or so after we race ...)

What a geek... errr uhh.. good idea! I wish I had thought of that. ;-) BTW, Am Unl GP on Sunday was a CCS race, so you're missing one set of results to be "complete".

I had good luck too!!!

I found an ATM card, hired a shipping company, a limo to take me to the airport, where I took the Concorde home and was back the same night.

Ahhhhh....life is good. ;D ;D ;D

Right you are!! I mistakenly assumed (I know... I know... ASS U ME) that all the races on Sunday were FUSA. I'm just figuring out what I'm doing here so cut me some slack!!  ;D

... and, for the record, Stu's the one that came up with the OCR idea...

Proud to be a geek!!  ;D ::)

Sorry, but I have found that if you don't make light of a bad situation, it just compounds itself.

I went to SoW in February.  I towed a 7000 lb Toyhauler with my Expedition.  What should have taken me 11 hours took me 16.  Not bad timing considering the 3 flat tires, including the spare, a stop for a really bad, but free used tire, 6 mpg, hense many gas stops and a dead battery.  I missed the gates being open by a meer 15 minutes and had to camp on the access road for the night.  Over the course of the weekend, I managed to go off of the track no less than 4 times.  Twice at speeds over 100 mph, and once while taking out 7 grid position cones and almost three flagmen (only lost 1 position though ;D).

And the sad part is....I would do it all again in a heartbeat. 8)

LOL!!!

Perhaps you will like to invest in a NEW set of tires for your Expedition?  By the way, how do you get three flats on one trip?

Is that why I have no money in my account anymore???  :P

I had a good time, even through the difficulities getting home. But I am not going back to Daytona without a new bike...

Trying to win a race with a 4 year old stock bike running pump gas was kinda fun. I learned how to back in to a turn, come out sideways all in one weekend, trying to hold on to that lead  8) but didn't matter, as soon as I got on the banking, it was over. The first thing my girl said to me when I came off the track was "You need a new bike" hahaha

hope everyone had a good time sunday. I really enjoyed riding in the rain except for my throttle grip sliding off the plastic tube during the GTU race. I was 3rd all by myself  til halfway, about 3 seconds behind the leader and maybe 10 seconds in front of the 4th place. then I proceeded to drift backward and got lapped by the leader at the end of the race.  so I lost about 2 minutes in 5 laps... I was sooooooo mad. I could have just ditched the grip, but I didn't think about it. So I lost my only chance for a check :(

You were that close? should have come! racing in the rain was cool! I didn't get to ride my street bikes at all, took down 2 bikes, and didn't even get out of the paddock

Yo Dafan congrats on your finishes!!  We all at VIR head about it when Gallo announced it over the intercom.  Now I am kinda upset that I did not go this year :(.  Must feel nice to have a 2nd place plaque that has DAYTONA on it!  :)

Don't worry your not the only one that had a bad driving expierence this weekend.  A normal 7 1/2 drive home from VIR turned into a 17 1/2 drive, my rides truck died on RT85 and we limped all of the way home only doing 35mph max speed.

Hey!!!!

I got a lead on a different car....  a Ford Tempo for $300.00 - 100,000 + miles, body OK and it runs good.  We'll see.

OK, I'll say it.  I'm cheap!

Well I am definately going down with one other guy in my truck & trailer or I might be going down with 3 other guys in there truck and trailer.  I am not quite sure how we are going to work it out yet.  If you need a ride I'll see what we can do.  Where about in philly are you?  We will be coming down 476 to Plymouth Meeting to 95.

Its a WERA regional weekend. I love riding at VIR and may go and race for fun.

Bart I gotta teach a class Sat morning, so I was thinking about coming to race on Sunday. I was talking to Glen, and trying to get him to come and race too on his F4... we will see. I do want to go, just have to do some extra stuff to my bike, like exhaust header and rear axle and stuff, go buy drill bits tomorrow
