Title: Process for CCS license?
Post by: 03 6R on November 19, 2007, 03:08:19 PM
Whats up guys, im new to the forum and the racing community.  I just have a quick question yall might be able to answer for me.

What is the process needed to obtain a CCS license?  Do i have to complete a CCS race authorized school in order to obtain a license?

PS- Im seeking an amature license, if that matters.

Thanks fellas-

Chris

Yes, you need to complete a CCS race authorized school, such as Learning Curves or Super Dave's VisionSports.

Do you know of Any approved race schools in florida?   Any idea if the school at Jennings GP (www.jenningsgp.com) is authorized? (http://www.edbargyracingschool.com/) is the link to their school

Ed Bargy's a good guy, and I would recommend his school.  Contact him so that he knows your intentions, and so that you can be reasonably prepared for your day with him.

Enjoy!

Yea i did i jsut called him.  i asked about group rates too, a ton of my friends want to tag along also.   He said he would do 6 people for the price of 5, or 15 people for the price of 13 so thats not a bad price.   Also talked some basics with him like what i need to bring with me an whatnot.

Seems like a really nice guy, im definatly looking forward to it.

Just a question, but on average, how much would a typical weekend cost ya'll at the track, whether your racing or just track riding?

How much you got?
Seriously, the answer to the "how much money" question is always "all of it".
Every serious racer is spending everything he has. Guys with big budgets spend it all too, they just get cooler stuff, and more of it.

You can do five or six races in a weekend on a 600 and spend less than $1000. If you go fast enough, you can get some of it back.

Rock on thats not bad at all, ill definatly be putting my credit card to use i just got my limit increased to 19k :)   Winning some back applys to amature races too?   Also, on track days, do they time your laps or is it just open track to ride on?
