Title: custom parts [see old show]
Post by: resurection on July 24, 2007, 06:37:22 PM
Custom parts ,drillbits sharpend, old bikes resurrected, and cold beer.@17082693102

WE have started plans toward production of captive spacers .
I;m not sure if people would prefer we supply new bearings or purchase them self's ,
I will provide spacers that will snugly fit standard bearing I.D.
And when its time for new bearings you buy them, installing at that time the spacers.

PLEASE send type of bike you need parts for ,and tell me if you wont bearings or not!!

I finally had the opportunity to use the castle nut tools resurrection made for me.  They are top notch quality.  They impressed the guys who worked on my bike this weekend and they've done lots of SV motor swaps.  Thanks.

Just wanted to throw up a thanks to Gus for letting me come by his shop and taking care of a quick project for me. Very easy to work with and after talking with him for a bit, he definitely seems to have the capability to handle most any machined part you want. Looking forward to a couple more projects.

Do you have CNC milling capability?
Title: Re: custom parts [see new show]
Post by: resurection on October 16, 2007, 07:44:01 PM
Well to be honest no .
But my old school skills and tooling can handle most any project trust me.
I started toolmaking before CNC was the big thing .
At work I work with the CNC department .If need be I can outsource to them it's all cool.
Plase call

Check this simple sulution .
If you have an offroad ,MX,style mount .
these will fit rite in and the rubber pegs are to save your boddy in crash.Way cool and simple. Up and back .
I am looking for input .If there's intrest I'll make several sets .These were made for a KTM smx450 but they have a standerd mount so I'm sure they will fit any bike w/that mount.

Gus has been at it again...

I asked for something that would make it easy to measure my shock.
Here is what he came up with.

The shock as measured
http://www.noidly1.com/images/Stuff/Pics/Shockjig/ShockJig.JPG

Just hook the tape;
http://www.noidly1.com/images/Stuff/Pics/Shockjig/TapeClip.JPG

And read; 309mm

Thanks Gus...

This guy knows his stuff!  I had him make me a bunch of random things, and he came through with quality.  Pretty quick too!

Anything bikes, Gus is the answer.

Here is another thread, I guess I'll post  in both.  For the record, I have not started racing or doing track days or anything yet.  But,  definite kudos here.  Custom rear sets and triple clamps, even risers.  He works wonders in his machine shop.  I have had this guy make a few things.  He is quick with the product and reliable.  I will definitely be doing business again in the future.
