Title: Anyone else workin night shift?
Post by: chaplain220 on June 30, 2007, 04:19:24 AM
...3:30am and I think I'm gonna drop :sleeping2:...fortunately, and oddly enough...ccs am #973 works night shift at our emergency ops center right behind the barrack where I'm now sitting.  So we are gonna talk smack about Summit coming up on the 7th and 8th, as soon as he gets off the phone with the crazy drunk lady. He's faster n me...just don't let him know, cause he's not as smart as me.  Bill, am #715, Ricky am#527 and Bob, ex 751 are all just down the street, but if I call them, they'll cuss me out...hmmm, Only 3 users online, probably fell asleep and forgot to log off...If ya can't sleep, gimme a holler, see ya at Summit, Art :sleeping2:.

.....0424 and I think I'm about to drop too....oh hold on, 911 call....oh hold on sir let me transfer you to the state police, please give them a little time to answer, chaplain is answering phones and hes a little...well...slow. Yea Mr. Lowman, I am behind you right now, about the only time you can say that statement with truth. SO I hear ol' 715 got his bike runnin again...? There goes your top 10 in the Formula 40 . Oh, and I hear 527 has a new ornament...or two hanging from his mirror in the pickup....your a cop...is that legal? Of course I can't take a shot at Mr. Bob, cause after all he is faster than all of us.....even tho he may need a few parts from the ol'973 bike to stay runnin next weekend.... Well, thats all I have Art... I'm sure anyone reading this probably will associate us with some sort of homosexual innuendo being that we are using this forum as our personal instant messaging system. You know, like banana or something..........Alright I'm out like Art's legs were from his pelvis in Daytona.

3:40AM, Doing the overnight too.  Got to go again.  Someone got beat on the head.  I bet he was just minding his own business too.  Lesson to learn: never mind your own business!

0451 still working.....thats interesting someone got beat in the head, we had the same problem here on KI. Identical to yours, at a bar minding his own business. Aftermath of the call included the crazy drunk woman Art spoke of earlier I was speaking to, which turned out to be her boyfriend who was struck....with a beer bottle. Maybe I should donate an old helmet to these folks ::) I tell ya, sometimes I feel safer in the hands of the cornerworkers than on the busy streets of KI, MD. You just never can be too safe, beer bottles flying tonight.

If you are minding your own business and drinking, you are just asking for someone to beat you on the head.  Better wear a helmet.  3 more hours for me too.  Haven't had to call security yet.

0550, hey, there are a few of us out here.  Just about one hour to go...then back in at 11pm for 5 more nights.  Yeah, Farmer Bill got his Duc running just in time, and after a few hours of sleep, we'll be trying to get Bob's SV and Gixxer patched up after a tough Vir weekend.  #973 wadded his fire engine in Ocean City last week... :banghead: Try to bondo that! Uh oh...only one user on line...I'm the last survivor.  Safe travels home bros, grab some coffee.

Alright, I tried to be a man about this and fullfill the chaplain's request not to share the following picture, but brother, ya made me do it. Just cause you dropped out of the top 10 in F40 points, don't take it out on me pal. Now the whole world will see what chaplains really do!

hey, Lowman. Nice picture. Looks like you & Bob are practicing for certain events after raceday is over. My wife is completely pissed at me cause I'm going racing with you guys this coming weekend. Apparently she doesn't understand the significance of you being one place ahead of me in the F40. The Duc still isn't right. Acts like it's only getting about 1/2 the fuel it needs to run at full power. That should make the race almost fair.

And Micheal, Micheal, Micheal, the pedal just to the left of the accelerator pedal in that fire engine is the brake. Just thought you might like to know that.

Well, here we are again, 7 hrs to go, three fights already...I can't believe you posted the link to that pic :err:, what is our friend in the black hat thinking!!!???  We may have to explain...eternal torment...to him 8).  Bill 999, don't try to blame my dynamic lead over you in the F40 on "mechanical" problems, we all know the gixxer is a duc slayer! For the rest of you nocturnals,RCR and Goldwing, hope yer shifts go well.

I'm here again,  much better night than previous.  Even have my feet up for a while.  If I want to be pessimistic,  this might just be the calm before the storm.  Can't complain though since I only do this once every 6 weeks.  Two more to go!

RCR, since ya mentioned it, two hours ago marked my official eligibility to retire ::)  I just can't afford to yet...bike addiction costs more n smokin crack!  The arms healed up real nice, and the big concern...the hips healed as well, thanks for askin.  You gonna make Barber?  I'm tryin to jump in on the Bargy track day before the races.  Goldwing enjoy the peace while ya got it, cause it is a bear over here!  Dude just punched Gramma in the face, three fights, including moderate sized kitchen appliances being thrown through front windows, and one abandoned car covered in blood.  And the fun continues...

Chaplain, I just gotta laugh.  Was Gramma minding her own business when she was punched?  Just had a drunk guy burn his hand trying to light a bonfire with gasoline.  All he could say was f... this and f... that.  Cesspool material.  Reduced an elbow dislocation, that was cool.  End of the peace.  Two squads just showed up.
Bike addiction costing me big bucks too.

I can't believe how much this sport cost. Then through in the travel cost on top of it. I would love to make it to Barber because I feal that I would do really well there. A least the overtime is kicking in now.

Goldwing70 only 2 more whats up with that. I have only 33 more years of this :wah:

RCR - 2 more nights for now, but I estimate another 15 years :whine:  We just had 9 people check in over 30 min.   Won't be racing at RA or Hallet due to schedule, but it pays the bills. :thumb:  Gives me time to prep the bikes for Hastings, one of my favorite tracks.  Have fun and success at RA!

Hey there chaplain, I know your out there! So, hows the search of Mr. Baldwin shaping up? Oh, our incidents are not related, BUT my people did advise me to advise you to advise your people  to be advised the well drillers at the firehouse have advised them in the midst of they're digging, they have discovered what looks to be a......let me see.......yeah, its been confirmed. Be advised the well drillers have hit the Blue Lagoon! And have located the long lost gun safe. So if you could advise the owner of this lost property to step foward and advise where he would like to recover said property, I will go ahead and advise the night owl well drillers. Can you advise?

Bro firefighter, your post leads me to ask the obvious question...Are you smokin crack?!!  You been up to long, slept to little, and are under tremendous stress thinkin about the 220 bike slayin ya this weekend at Summit 8).  Don't forget, Party at the broken ducs pond tonight.

Yes it has been quite a night. I'm up at 0247 2 days before the Summit Track Day, listening to someone stutter a vehicle stop on the radio, its raining, and the only thing on tv is Dr. Phil interviewing who? Thats right, drunks. And crack smokers. AND, MR. Baldwin is STILL missing. I feel for ya brother, one more night for you. So come Saturday in the AM GTU, you just go ahead and steer that ol 220 clear of the 973 and 715, if he doesnt bail on us like he is comtemplating now. After all, like the 220 pilot says, "973 will be by me by turn 5". I mean, its bad enough to be that slow, at least you admit it. My question is, how do you sleep at night?

Ouch.  That's harsh.  I wouldn't take that if I were you Art.
