Yep.. It was strategic. I needed to switch the hard-top out for the soft-top, and since the weather was gonna be so great I just left it down and pulled the doors off. It gave the soft top a chance to warm up and 'stretch' out a bit too (but it was still a chore to put on for the first time).
I'm really impressed that the soft top makes NO noise (yet) while driving. The old ones would flap like a screen-door in a stiff wind, but not this one (yet.....)
