Title: Racing in the Rain
Post by: T-Shirt Racing on March 24, 2006, 03:18:16 PM
My son and I are new this year to CCS.  Sorry to ask a question that is probably been asked 1000 times before, but does CCS race in the rain?

I looked in the rule book, and did a search of the forum, but couldn't find any real answers.

Thanks for any help that you can give.  John Hart

Yes we do. We only stop for ground strike lightning.

Not sure if they would even cancel it then....j/k  Last year at Blackhawk farms in the rain was a blast ;D  The track looked like a flood zone

We actually raced in the snow before and I dont mean at Road Americva either. ;D

April 2000 at Blackhawk Farms we had to have ther track PLOWED before we were let loose on it after 6" fell on friday night. ;D

As for CCS tracks, I think Daytona is the only one thyat doesnt let bikes run in teh rain. If someone knoiws for sure please chime in.

I don't think my leathers have dried out yet...

After 2 very wet BHF weekends last year, #1 on my budget list this year was spare wheels & rain tires!

Bring a spare set of undies.

BTW, we do change undies during the weekend.  I change with Tom, Tom changes with Mark, Mark changes with Dave, Dave changes with Kim...  ;D

More than DOT's, but I can't remember.  I wanna say, like, $425 to $460?  They are really worth their weight in gold, though.
