For those cold and/or rainy days, I've tried duct tape over the nose, gap in the sheild seal, spit & still had my lens fog up. Any experts in solving this problem out there? Thanks!

Yep, Fog City Fog shileld, used mine for like 3yrs now..... No problems, even street riding in below freezing temp and still no fog (or ice). ;D
I use a product produced by Shoei called the Breath Box. Unfortunately it is no longer avaiable. Almost impossible to fog up a helmet when wearing one.
HJC and Fox sell items called breath boxes, can't vouch for their effectiveness.
Fog City shields work great until temps drop into the high 30s (when my electric windshield is adjusted in the high position), then your shield can fog. They also scratch easily so take care when cleaning (I use them on my street helmet). I would keep a spare shield with the Fog City and only use when I have problems.
I have also had some success using Rainx anti fog - follow directions for it to work properly (the directions are printed on the bottle - that way you cannot throw them away before reading as is normally done).
Yeah, Fog City Shields aren't designed for cold, cold temperatures.

Us old snowmobilers have a few suggestions.
1. Breath box, No Fog Masks (Brand Name) are the tops
2. Stop breathing until after your race........ :-[
3. Fog City inserts and all the anti-fog goops work until the temps get cold.....which is typically when you need them the most.
4. Get an HJC helmet with a 2nd dual pane snow shield (CL14 is my rec.).
I'm sure there are others out there but this is what we have tried.

I've gone snowmobiling in my roadrace helmet with a Fog City shield. My breath soaked and fogged the area AROUND the shield so badly that the shield froze in the closed position. (And froze to my moustache as well! :o) Even so, the area covered by the Fog City fog shield remained perfectly clear. It's the only thing I've ever tried that actually works. This product is cheap, too. I don't think I've ever paid more than $15 for one, and it works until you destroy the visor it's mounted to.
Of course if you wear perscription glasses under your helmet, you're screwed! I'm so glad I got contacts!

It's a Fog City piece. I've used the "yellow" one, but not that one. Probably works. A lot of their development was based around riding in the Bay Area, so, they have fog, sun, misting, heat, etc.
Plus One for the Fog City shields. Stumpy loves his. I would think it would beat peeling duct tape off your nose.
