Title: Out of Region Points
Post by: cbusa on January 04, 2006, 03:32:09 AM
How are points scored if I run an out of region event?

I am in SE, if I run an event that is only MA are points still counted as part of my SE points?

Thanks
Charlie

You would receive points for MA only. All of the SE races are combined with FL. or MA regions

Hi Dave;

So from a points perspective it seems I would be better off running an additional FL/SE event next season instead of a MA only event. I am trying to run 4-5 events next year instead of the 1-2 I have been doing.

Hi Charles,
It depends, VIR is double points and Jennings is not.  Both are about the same distance for me from Charleston
SC. Are you running AM. or EX. this year?

Hi Dave;

I will still be AM next season I saw that you moved up, congratulations.

I only did 2 event last season so there was no chance to move up. Next season will be at least 4 events and maybe 5. I may look at Jennings too, that's probably about the same distance from Winston-Salem as Barber, Summit is closer but no SE points if I understood correctly.

Charlie,
Jennings is a fun track, not as fast as Roebling but nice and smooth with plenty of grip wet or dry. I going to try to run 4-5 weekends this year.

Thanks Dave;

We will consider Jennings too.

I look forward to seeing you at some of the weekends.
