Title: Daytona temp gauge -- no readout
Post by: Fat_Nate on May 02, 2005, 09:09:40 AM
Anyone have one of these that just stopped displaying anything one day?  I've got one on an SV -- thing worked fine, and read the temp 24x7.  Then it seemed like it ran out of juice or something.  The display is now as blank as my stare, so  . . . what gives?  (Bike has plenty of juice in the battery . . .)  Thanks,

Nate

The Daytona temp gauges I have seen (including the one on my 125) have their own internal battery, not running off the bike battery.

Right -- here is my update.  The OLD Daytona temp gauge had a battery, but the new one runs off of a rechargeable battery.  There is lead out that goes to a 9V dry cell.  Anyone have experience with that?  As in: what kind of plug links the battery to the temp gauge?  Thanks,

Nate
