Title: Friday Test & Tune at BHF
Post by: r1owner on April 13, 2005, 09:28:27 PM
Anyone know anything about this?  Has anyone signed up for it yet?  Who will be running it?  70 bucks seems like a smokin deal!

I try to make as many of them as I can. The best money I've even spent.

Do you know if there is usually anyone there to help with suspension setup?

Lithium Motorsports should be there.  Ryan does a fantastic job.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, Rob.)

Clarify what Friday...  This Friday, as in tomorrow 4/15, I don't believe there is a practice day.  However, before every CCS event, there is...

Been going on for years!  Where ya been man!  ;)

Haven't been racing that long.  Only 2 years, been to BHF like twice.  Didn't even know they had them and their site seemed to imply it was new for 05!  Eh... what do I know!  :)

Sorry Heather, Mark will be the only one attending BHF this weekend. The rest of us are preparing for RA. But it is tempting to go there and stay the week.

But you'll be there for Friday CCS practices that Blackhawk holds, right?  That's what I meant...

We'll miss you guys this weekend, anyway.

What's "new", according to BFR's website, is the ability to "pre-register" for the Friday practice.

Looks like those who pre-reg online won't have to go thru the rigamarole of being shagged out of bed and up to the front gate first thing in the morning.

Cool! :)  How much do you charge for  basic suspension help?  I.E. setting sag...  I figure after two years racing, that I should consider getting that done now that I have ported and polished engine.

How do you find out about track days like this? The only thing I knew about was a NESBA weekend. ???

I was perusing the blackhawkfarms.com site when I stumbled across it.  I didn't know they had them either.  Seems like  a smoking deal to get some time on the track though. :)

So...... I'm still not clear on this.  Do you have to pre-register to be able to camp on Thursday night?

If you don't pre-register, can you still pull in late Thursday night and camp?

Does it cost anything to camp?

From the BFR website:

NOTE: IF you are going to camp the NIGHT before a Friday "Test & Tune" Day, you MUST Register Online to secure a FREE Camping Waiver or provide photo ID to the Security Guard, no exceptions.
