Title: Pre entry
Post by: Alex6r10r on April 11, 2005, 03:48:53 PM
Can anybody tell me how I can find out if my pre entry is/has been procesed? CCS claims they will charge your card upon receipt of fax but that is not happend. Thanx in anticipation

It'll get processed don't worry. I can't speak for others, but I never had a problem with pre entries. If you want contact tiffany or linda at ccs. Try sending them an email. ;)

Well, it does happen though. I personally never had a problem since I started racing in '96 till last season at Barber when my pre-entries could not be found. Eventually they were found entered in the computer system minus any paperwork. The 2nd occourance was at Daytona last month when a similar situation happened.

I will admit that in both instances CCS worked with me to make it right. I personally wish we could be issued a pre-entry confirmation number along with classes entered for what event. I realize it would be extra work, but in the big picture it would help to eliminate the chaos that can happen at registration on race day when 1 or more of the CCS staff who are doing registration is tied up with chasing down this type of stuff. :)

Bring with a receipt of some kind such as the email confirmation if you did it online or get a receipt from CCS.  One of Stumpy's preregistrations was "lost" last year, but I had the email confirmation with the date of pre-entry and we were good to go. This way you won't get screwed on grids, if anything.

I'm all about back up materials.  You can't ever have too many.  And don't assume someone else willl have them for you.

Yeah, bring the e-mail confirmation of the pre-registration and they'll fix it at the track if something did happen to it.
Mine pre-entry was lost at RAmerica last year and I didn't bring the confirmation with me and i started at the back of some very large grids.
Usually there is no problems with pre-entry though.
