Title: R1 Entry Questions
Post by: extrakt0r on March 22, 2005, 12:21:34 PM
Saw the great responses from members regarding the SV650 Entry Question Thread, so I figured I would ask also.

I think I have it figured out.

I have a 2004 R1, no engine mods or wheel mods so I am pretty sure I am superstock. I do have forks by Traxxion and a Penske 3 Clicker, I also I have exhaust but nothing else really other than clip-ons and rear sets, etc

(This is my 1st racing season, if you havn't figured it out)

Mr 1st Race will be at RA next month in Great Plains Division.

I think I can run in:

Unlimited Supersport
Unlimited Superbike
Unlimited Grand Prix
GTO

So assuming that I am correct in the 4 Classes above my schedule for RA would be:

Friday:

Race #3 GTO (Ex/Am)
Race #7 Unlimited Superbike (Ex/Am)

Saturday

Race #1 Unlimited Superbike (Ex/Am)
Race #12 Unlimited Supersport (Ex/Am)

Sunday:

Race #1 Unlimited SuperSport (Ex/Am)

Am I correct? I can't participate in any other Classes?

I am exempt from Heavyweight "...." becuase I am a 4 Cylinder Liquid Cooled over 775CC right?

Thanks for all you help.

Mike

You got it. The only thing you missed were:

Saturday:
Race #8 Unlimited GP

And

Sunday
Race #10 Unlimited Gp

And you are correct, Heavyweight is for 750 cc 4-cylinder bikes and 1000 cc twins (or smaller).

What does that mee?

"Speedscreen" is for Lockhart Phillips Speedscreens: the sponsor!

Regarding qualifying, for Formula USA races and the Unlimited GP "expert" race, they run qualifying sessions to determine your grid spot. Since you will be a novice, you don't have to worry about it. You will be gridded according to your order of entry.
