Not everyone has the fancy toys you do, Edgar.   ;)

Fancy? Tivo is as expensive as a VCR! Since the old one had broke...

Actually, it's pretty funny. I am not an "early adoptor" of gadgets. It must be because I spend all my money on bikes!

Ditto.  I never did learn how to set a VCR.

Tivo. Set a season pass called "motorcycle racing" and it records everything.

I think they're down to $99 at Best Buy.

VCRs?  What's that?

We all took the afternoon off!  Stumpy's parents did, too.  You guys need to get your time off lined up accordingly!

Don't forget live timing online.  Robbie's already kickin' butt this morning in supersport qualifying!!!  Yay!

New-fangled technology is not our strong point either.  We just got a DVD player in fall of 2003.  I do want a tivo and an XM MyFi more than anything in the world, though--well maybe not more than my new Spys that were ordered up this week.   ;)

Dawn still has a cassette player.  :o ;)

Thanks for the reminder, but we have DVR with the cable. All us geeks just love our toys.

Now go out and buy Renee an iPod. ;D

Isn't K3 the one with an 8-track in his motor home?

The streaming updates on qualifying have hypnotized me -- I am powerless to resist!

No, I don't think so.   ;)

Hey, as long as the 'ol VCR still works, there's no reason to upgrade until 2013.  That's as far as the calendar goes on it.

Sorry to bust your bubble there Dave, but FM has been a common thing on car radios for quite a while now...  ;D

Just a heads-up on that thought.... working from home will generate a solid 50% decrease in productivity during racing season if Speedvision is present.

Gobert just cut a 1:39 on an R-6.  And I mean a LOW 1:39 . . . 1:39.051.  Next best is DuHamel at 1:41.683.  Wow.

Speed and all the other 4,678 are present. ::) But productivity is high until after 6PM. DVR does rock. However, today is an office day...sooooo ;)

I'm counting on my buddy to have the first round of WSB and today's Daytona on his DVR to watch this evening.  Beer and sammiches tonight!

Anyone willing to let me borrow their tape next week? I'll pay for shipping here and back.

Ya know....  I took the 8-track out, and put in a CD player in dash, with another 10 disc CD player and a Bazooka tube under one of the sofas.  Already I kinda miss the 8-track.  I don't even know if it worked, but it was just sort of cool that it was there!

QuoteBut I had a car that was AM only. ;D

Reminds me of when I lived in Chicago.  I lived in a decent neighborhood and had a decent car, but it was always being broken into for the radio.

I thought I'd fix that.  I went out and bought a beater for $200.  Total rust bucket that barely ran with only a cheapo AM radio...which they promptly broke into and stole!

Well, I'm working from home today too.  Thanks for the reminder, Dawn.  :)

Drop a tape at my house and I will record it for you (I'll have it on my DVR).

It's on at 10PM tonight. So even if you don't have a dvr or a vcr you can still catch the races as long as you have cable/satellite tv.  :)

I'll be working at 10 PM, and don't get speed on our Cable system.  :(

TZracer, with my schedule these days, it might be easier for me to send a tape. But I'll get you one either way. That'd be great!
