Title: Cold-Weather Undies?
Post by: KBOlsen on March 05, 2005, 11:20:58 AM
Stop laughing! ;D

What was the name of the stuff that ya wear under yer leathers that's windproof and holds in your body heat?

I went shopping this morning and all I found was Cold Gear, which wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

There's UnderArmor, if that's what you mean. It's meant to wick sweat away and keep you warm and dry or cool and dry.

I didn't actually think you were wearing wooly underwear, but I'm sure some of the guys got a laugh out of thinking you do!

I saw the UnderArmor... it didn't look like it would block the wind much.

Think I'll head up to Bass Pro tomorrow and see what they've got (Sportmart was of no use whatsoever).

A dive skin would be the best for cold riding.  It's made for cool water diving.  Laura had one from our honeymoon, and she used to wear it on cold street rides under her leathers.  As a bonus, you look like Diana Rigg when you wear one.  Grrrrrrrooooooooowwwwwwww!!!!

Under Armor has a ton of cold weather stuff.  Just check out the football gear and you should be good to go.

When I had my Waverunner I was out in February riding on the river. Since my barefoot suit was a shorty, I tossed on my decente lycra bicycle pants I had when I raced bikes. Even with the river temps at 40 (if that with air temps of 50) I stayed somewhat warm. I have no idea why people would shake their head when I flew past their house on it. :o ;D Yes I ended up swiming a few times. ;D

Check a bicycle shop.  I wear my bicycle tights under my leathers when it's cold.  They make some that are specifically made for blocking wind, but they are pricey.

When not as cold, I'll wear silk long johns under my leathers.

You best not go over to the ASMA board, a fellow over there wanted to paint me like Elaine's bike  ??? :o

I told him no body paint for me.
