Title: Honda Contingency Schedule
Post by: LMsports on February 16, 2005, 06:46:01 PM
Edgar, I can't believe you overlooked HONDA! I know that you are envious, but avoiding the issue won't help. For everyone else...

Geez, how could I have missed the Honda contingency! Well, I figured no one really cared.  ;D

Actually Stumpy, if Honda paid to 10th at every Midwest race, I may think about racing an overweight, underpowered bike... :o

Looking at the payouts, it does make it tempting to race an RC51 in supertwins though!!! Anyone that wants to give me a free RC51, just email me! (hint, hint, Rob...)

Hey, if all you get is 10th place, I guess I'd look for something that paid that far back, too.   ;)

so I take it the contingency is only for experts?

Not that it matters now, but I was going crazy looking for the actual DATES of the races they are paying.  Anyone?  And to all you haters... Hondas in STOCK trim are fat and WELL powered.  In race trim, they have more power than any other 600 and only a few pounds extra (see: classifieds:wife sale)... well worth it to don a wing.

OK, that's it. Enough of your abuse! Next time I pass Stumpy, I am doing a Purk on him!
 ;D

I think Honda pays Expert and Amateur's.

I tend to believe that according to the latest #'s, the Yamaha, Kawie and Suk all make more hp than the Honda...

I did hear that the Honda won the RRW 2005 shootout though!

Hey Edgar!

I was talking to Casper about his bike last night and he thought I should talk to you.  Something about asking you to describe the view of his '91 F2 as he pulled you down the front straight at RA last year.
I did have a bit of hard time understanding him though.....through all the cackeling and snorting! ;D

Yeah, nothing like a 500 pound guy on a fast as hell superbike drafting my poor ole slow SV  to make my bike shake and tankslap all the way down to turn 5! That's OK, he may have gotten really lucky and won that battle, but ask him who won the war!!! If it wasn't for one little mistake coming out of the last corner... ;D

Did you see the test in Cycle World on the R6, 426lbs, and it dynoed at 101hp. But thats mag stuff. The real data comes from the track, When I beat you on my ole' heavy Honda just think what I could do on a fast light bike! ;D And next time you threaten to "PURK" me I'm calling the cops ;D

P.S. Alexa, the Fox left the hole and going back to it's cubby.  Translation>>< (the banners and stickers are done and I'm sending them out today) ;)

The Honda is the best 600 motor, without a doubt.  Especially if you can modify it (i.e. world supersport).  TenKate bikes were near unbeatable, Klaffi bikes were front runners as well.  Wait until '07, I feel the next F2 type domination coming.
Domo Arigato, Sochirosan !
