Title: ATTN superdave Brakes questions
Post by: cbrf4_269 on February 16, 2005, 03:31:35 AM
Superdave,

I am going from EBC HH bads to Vesrah pads before I start racing this year.  Which Vesrah brakes do you recommend and do I have to do anything to the rotars before making the switch?

thanks man!!   ;D

What to do?

I think all the Vesrah pads are good.  RJL's are common, and they have really good feel.

But the Super RJL's work better, I think.  Neither need bed in.  Hot lap 'em.

The Super RJL's are way more expensive...

BUT...

I find that they last a lot longer than how many RJL's I would have gone through for a similar cost.

Rotors...

Usually I'll just scuff rotors with a scotch bright pad to remove some of the  previous pad material that has been imbedded on the rotor.  Some might use a bead blaster.  I haven't.  Don't own a bead blaster.  Scotch bright has worked fine for me.
