Title: White or yellow, 2005
Post by: K3 Chris Onwiler on February 01, 2005, 09:25:07 AM
Three.  K3.  Licensed to poach! 8)

Believe it or not, I was actually losing sleep over this last night.  At 9:01 this morning, I was on the phone to CCS.  I now have my white plate back.
As much as I could use the contingency money and tire certs, I couldn't live with the idea of poaching these things from guys just getting involved in the sport.
Rosno sees it differently, but I hate it when the poachers show up on Suzuki and Yamaha money weekends.  I won't be winning that money, but it would be nice if my faster friends could get it.  After all, they are the ones there week in and week out, supporting the series and the region.  With an attitude like that, well, I couldn't exactly go poaching among the amateurs now, could I?
After I'd stated my case to her great amusement, Tiffany assured me that it was all just a typo, and that it was better I'd turned myself in before she hunted me down and killed me.  (Or something like that!) :o
Still, "Amateur Blackhawk Track Champion" has a nice ring to it....

I'm not that damn slow.  Slow compared to alot of people, but I can still run a half ass decent time  :-/  If you lap me in an 8 lap race, then I'm gonna hang up my leathers for good.  I ain't that damn slow and I don't think you're running track records....

K3, Jensen and I sat down alone on Monday evening at MAM in July...everyone was gone.  Just he and I.

Anyway, I brought up the fact that I would love to have the opportunity to win some of the money...for a moment, I saw his adrenaline pump up...that was the racer in him...

Stopped him for a moment though and said, "Hey, it's there for the taking, all I have to do is beat you, at the top of your game, to get some of it."  He lightened up and understood that really what I said was respectful of what he has accomplished.

Winning money requires performance.

I think that's why most of us look for sponsorship.  It doesn't necessarily require winning, but allows us to try and focus on some of our better abilities to work with people and attract people to products as a result.

I have won money, and I've been outside of the money...first place looser, no less...LOL!

Really, I wish CCS has some kind of small reward structure to those in some kind of championship hunt.  Race by race, people come and go.  But there are guys that come to every event scoring points.  But there is very little reward.  No big spectator events to create a marketing plan, nothing reasonable.  Costs a whole lot ot be a champion.  Might get a nice number plate.  Might get some free entries.

Kidding!!!  Kidding!!!   I had forgotten that  you know where I live!!!   :o

QuoteBelieve it or not, I was actually losing sleep over this last night.

Losing sleep over a typo?  Makes me wonder what happens if you accidentally get listed as "Female" on certain forms due to a typo.   ;)

Chris is a writer...I think he loses sleep over anything racing related, because his imagination is just that active.

If he was listed as female on anything...I'd have to laugh my a$$ off, I don't think you can tuck more testosterone in a human body and still call it "human".
(Imagining K3 in a cute little Catholic school girl outfit...ala Britiney Spears) ::) :o ;) ;D

Ask the Amateur champion from 2003...

See what he says.

How about Kevin T?

If I had a chance for real Chris, Kevin E. already said right to me if I quit for ten years and come back and he sees me, he claimed he would personally change my plates to white.
Although I will ride a pink bike w/baby blue number plates and tassels on my leathers if they gave me a chance to sandbag and rip off true am's like the 03' am 'chumpion' Whatta clown!
Oh yeah, Chris I already had the 03' R6 last year, you will like it. They work a little better than the 99-02 R6, but believe it or not I think they turn even faster.

Alexa, not unless you are gonna pimp that set (Vansons) out for a dirt cheap price! I was saying that (Tassels) in context that CCS let me shoot some fish in a barrel (Race as an Am.)

I talked to Ron Springfloat a while ago.  He was doing good then.  I will be riding with white plates, I was just trying to stir something up.  K3, I'll get Ron's # to you.  I'm looking forward to coming back this year, although it will probably only be 5 weekends or so.  I have a new fan, she's 8mos old now.
