To all my midwest friends, just wanted to rub it in. Right now, Rob Oliva, Mark Schnetler and I just finished 2 days of riding my new 2004 GSXR600 at Pahrump. Jason DiSalvo, Jason Curtis and Jeff Haney were out here riding as well.
Now we have 2 days to stroll around Vegas while waiting for Stumpy to get here so we can do the Freddie Spencer 3-day pro school which starts on Wednesday.
How much snow did you guys get this weekend? It's like 68 and sunny here... ;D
BTW Stumpy, it's gonna take more than singles.
You seemed like a cool guy..... now I don't think I like you anymore! ;)
Have a blast out there man!
I remember racing with Mark at BHF last year. I'm sure I'll be unable to even see him once he gets all this instruction. :-[
QuoteNow we have 2 days to stroll around Vegas
;D You made it just in time ;D ;D

;D :P
Hey Edgar, It's all good. I like snow. ;D
Say hi to those guys for me. Have fun at the school, and remember...what happens at Spencer school, stays at Spencer school...oh wait, that's Vegas. ::) ;) :P ;D
Ya, and I am really being productive at work today :-/! I should have did the track days too :-[ After the dumping of snow this weekend Vegas sounds good. Can't wait...See ya tommarow!
BTW, I told Heather I should probably leave my wedding ring at home cause Super Dave said I shouldn't ride with it on...It didn't go so good.
Stumpy
LOL!
Well. I got a broken finger out of it....
Almost got it, the finger, pulled off with a mower deck when I was working at the John Deere dealership...that was the last straw...
If it wasn gonna brake other fingers and then pull off the finger that it occupied...well, I didn't need the pain. :D
Well, wear it on a necklace, or keep it in your leathers pocket. ;D
Well Stumpy and his wedding ring are on the plane and I'm bachin' it!
Help me here. I've never sent him off to the track by himself. :'(
I'm sure Edgar and Rob will take good care of him. Right.

Yeah, what he said. Heather, I wouldn't worry about Stumpy and the boys on the race track. They'll be fine. I'd be more worried about them on Las Vegas Blvd. (the strip.)
;D ;D
I am allergic to the wedding ring, tried to wear them twice and it ended up costing me attorney fees and some property to have them removed.
From now on I will try to always get my milk without buying a cow, in my case I already had to buy 2 farms w/the 2 cows.
As for you Edgar, u suck, tell Fast Freddie I said he was never as fast as Rainey!!
Stumpy, Edgar, Rob? Somebody give me a call when you can. Got a question that pertains to your head instructor.
K3
Did Stumpy and crew lose their load on the way to Vegas ???

;D
That's a wholelotta beer :o
OMG, that picture makes me want to cry! All that wasted Grolsch!
Don't worry Heather, Stumpy will be just fine. We'll make sure to have him leave the ring on. Girls seem to like married guys quite a bit you know... that ability to commit and all! Otherwise, we can have him leave the ring in the motorhome, that way he doesn't "lose it". BTW, did he pack the "elephant" underwear? ;D
Oh, and I would not worry so much about Las Vegas Blvd. It's the places "near" Las Vegas Blvd that are the ones to worry about!
School starts tomorrow. Time to get my pencil!
Well enjoy the sleepwalking and sleeptalking Edgar!!! He brought that, too!
Give him a smooch for me!!!! :-*

Go to Cheetah's. Ask for Ronnie. ;) ;D

;D :P :P
and Ronnie is the manager of Cheetah's :D
Wait, if you're in Las Vegas, what in the hell are you doing on the internet ??? Shouldn't you be losing the kids college fund at the casino's, or looking at (*)(*) ???
;D ;D
Amatures ::)

Dan, you need to race more...
It's a bigger addiction.

Absolutely. Why stuff money into a slot machine or a pretty young girl's underwear, when you could be buying tires or paying entry fees? ::)
Hey! A man's got to have his priorities!
If I were in Vegas with those guys, I'd probably be trying to camp at the track!

Actually, they are camping at the track!
It poured yesturday all day, but they dirt tracked all day so they had a ball. Last I heard, they were headed out on the town last night with Jason DiSalvo and the other instructors. I hope Jason knows what he's in for with Stumpy, Edgar, et.al.
Gambling is not that big of an attraction to us as we have a casino close by and it's not too much fun unless you get away with a couple hours of craps off $10. That's fun. Racer budget funds are way too valuable to Stumpy to shove in a machine, though.
And as for the "dollar stores" why get a burger and fries when you got steak and potatoes at home? ;)
Heather
QuoteDan, you need to race more...

It's also more expensive than a weekend in Vegas :( I"ll be there though :)
QuoteIt's also more expensive than a weekend in Vegas
See you need to race...
What's the value in it...
When Ed Key comes up and says...
"Hey, Dave...I just wanted to tell you. I was behind you in turn five (at Blackhawk) and you put down the coolest black stripe all the way to six."
;D
I went out to paint stripes on old tires. I got all of my money's worth.
We can go to the strip clubs...yeah, that's fine...
But Heather has the right idea...
Hey guys!
Getting ready to head back to the track, We had dirt track day all day yesterday with lots of class room too, we all learned so much and can't wait to come home to break some track records ;) We are going to ride all day today. Honey put the house up for sale I didn't do so good last night... ;)
P.S> I'm hungry for steak and potatos ;D
Stumpy
I just had an ugly thought. I sent Rob a pile of money for parts that I haven't seen yet, right before those three left for Vegas.... Should I be worried?
:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o ;) :D
QuoteP.S> I'm hungry for steak and potatos ;D

I'm right here waiting, Big Boy! ;)

Same here... why is it that my stuff "just came in" before they left ???
C'Mon Rob... double that $$ and we'll call it even for the parts!!! ;D ;D
Hope you guys are havin a good time, tell the...ahem "talent" to be ready for my bachelor party there in early April!! I expect them to bring their "A" game!
tim
So where's all the news from Vegas? It's been kinda quiet. People are going to start talking if you guys don't report in soon!
Stumpy's flight will be here in about an hour and a half.
All I know so far is Stumpy rode two up with Spencer on a VFR and was amazed at how little his wrist moved when he blipped.
You know the old saying, though.
Loose Lips Sink Ships!!!
;)
Heather, do you know if my question ever got asked?
OK, we are on our way back right now and all I can say is "Holy Sh1t"! The school is just awesome! They really help a ton with body position, trail braking, using the rear brake while entering the corners and much more! I highly recommend this school to anyone! They really emphasize position on the bike and being smooth. I don't even recognize myself while on the bike anymore. This was the 3 day Pro-School and we really got to push our limits, both physically and mentally.
Riding with Freddie's is just awesome. When I got to ride, it was sprinkling, yet he was still flying. He is amazingly smooth and barely moves his brake level even though he is slowing down significantly.
K3, I tried calling your number, but all I got was a busy signal the whole time. Not sure what the question was...
A million thanks to Lithium Motorsports. This was only possible thanks to them. These guys are really working on providing the best trackside support in the country. You guys should keep an eye out on what they have coming up for this next season. They will be at all the Midwest and Great Plain rounds with all kinds of parts, equipment, VP fuel, suspension setup and support and much more. Check out their website as well to see all the stuff they carry: www.lithiummotorsports.com and www.bikejam.com
So the total experience was over 3700 miles traveled, 2 track days at Pahrump and 3 days at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the Freddie Spencer School. 10 days total away from home! What an incredible winter break!
Now that sounds like a fun winter break. Between you getting advanced edumecation and other people ice racing the rest of us sloths don't stand a chance.
I gotta get down there sometime.
Well back to winter... I have been gabbing to Heather since I got home last night about all the new stuff I learned. They accually video tape you and then analize everything in the begining and then at the end, He will transform all your bad habits into good. We had so much track time, at a fast pace. I definetily recommend it, I know it made me a faster rider. A huge thanks to Rob at Lithium Motorsports, I couldn't have done it without him.
P.S. How were the mountains Edgar? Need any Mayo for traction in the back...
Stumpy
I want to hear more but it'll have to wait until Spring.
In the meantime, you might want to change the spelling to "analyze", especially in light of a certain, recent photo of you and K3. ;) ;D
Steak and potatoes! ;)
You know Chris, if we were half the men we claim to be we'd have declared "ROAD TRIP" and made the run up to the UP knowing that the Stumpmeister was all the way out in Las Vegas.
I'm sure we could have shown Heather a good time out on the town and helped her get over the loneliness. We could have done a Friday fish fry and had some pasties. Imagine leaving a lady as lovely as that all by herself in the cold north country....
;D

More like I could have shown you guys a good time!!!
I just stuck to my regular routine of work, gym, home with the wiener dog for the evening. Not a bad deal all in all. I did go see the Aviator with a friend, that's about it--way too long, cut the hand washing scenes and you are down to 120 minutes at the most.
We did have pasties Sunday night for dinner!
Heather
Hey Stumpy,
The mountains were pretty slick. I think we over-lubed!! ;)
Heather, did you get a close look at Stumpy's Red HRC jacket yet? I would look in every pocket if I were you...You never know what you may find!
QuoteHeather, did you get a close look at Stumpy's Red HRC jacket yet? I would look in every pocket if I were you...You never know what you may find!
Who's Shari and why were you at her ranch?
Funny thing is, Stumpy was never in Parump. ;) ;D
You can't out-snark a snarker. :P

Never would have worked. Gentlemen that we are, we'd have both tried to hold the door for her at the same time, and at least one of us would have wound up sliding down the asphalt....
::)
Well, Rob's back at Lithium. He must have lost big in Vegas, because he already wants another big pile of my money! :P :D ;)
