Time to put in for vacation!
Dawn :)
Temps in the 40's... rain... fully-perfed leathers... :-[
Guess I'd better go shopping for some wind-proof under-gear.
Suggestions, anyone? This will be my first COLD-weather race. What have you found to work best?

It was 38 degrees this year in April. I ran my rain tires on a drying track and took a first place. They were the softest tires in my trailer and heated up to stick ok on the cccold track.
For the rain, several manufacturers make motorcyle rain suits that work great.
For the cold, I went to REI and got their best thermal base layer for mountain climbing. It is cozy warm and thin enough to fit comfortably under leathers and also has all the latest materials technology to wick away moisture, etc...I also bought the matching wind blocker vest since my leathers are perfed in the chest, but really only need that sub 40 degrees, like last year first gateway when the temp was 18 degrees when we got there Friday.
I prefer to sit in my warm, running bus watching everyone freeze ::)

LOL!!!!
When we were there I was standing in our enclosed trailer with the propane heater running timing Paul. When it was time for him to come down the front stretch we would run out - cheer him on - and them run back into the trailer.
Dawn :)
Call me uncommitted, but I love to THINK about y'all running in the sub-zero temps. I believe it is much saner to be warm, not frozen, and wait for another day. Not that sanity has a lot to do with this sport...

At first I was going to say you are missing the whole point of racing - but then I saw that you didn't. ;D
Dawn :D
