Does anybody know if the Wegman Auction weekend at Blackhawk has been set? I will be racing the GP region this year, but want to plan on that weekend as well. I am guessing that it will be the August or September weekend and want to pencil it in, even if it is just a MW round.
Yes, Gordy announced at the MW banquet that the Wegman Auction weekend will be at Blackhawk (as usual) on August 27th.
I'm so glad that it doesn't conflict with the SCCA Runoffs. The final blackhawk of the year is the same weekend as the Runoffs, and I was really worried that the Wegman would be on that weekend. The SCCA Runoffs is my annual father & son field trip with Dad, & he'd be so dissappointed if we missed it.
Thanks Alexa! :)
No problemo... :D
Bid high and bid often!! ;D ;D
Working on the auction already. Hope to get some good stuff this year.
If I make the trip to Daytona I will pick up something really nice and get it signed by everyone I can. Then I will carry it with me to all pro events we attend and keep getting signatures until the auction.
The shakedown for auction goodies never rests.
I also received a call today from Sam at Corse Superbikes. He is offering several bikes for us to choose from for a raffle. How about a Ducati SR2 or Suzuki SV650S or GSX-R600? Decisions, decisions, decisions!! :o ???

Can't go wrong with any of those. Corse Superbikes Rock!
How much for tix, Gordy?
Ticket cost is still in the planning mode. I will have it all ready by Daytona so I can move some tickets there if I go.
We can do this a couple of ways. Make the tickets cheap, say $5, and hope to sell a bunch of them which makes the odds of winning harder or make a limited amount at a higher figure, $10 - $50, which gives a person better odds at winning and a guaranteed good return on the raffle.
Sell as many as possible...it's for a good, no, make that great, cause. How about 2/$15 or 4/$25? Midway between the two price ranges, and the extra few $$$ can up the profit potential. Just my opinion, let us know when they are available for purchase!
