Title: MW Awards Banquet - Call for Info
Post by: gma on December 28, 2004, 01:52:53 PM
In their infinte wisdom, they (and 'they' will remain nameless) will send the homewrecker to screw up your precious, hard-earned moments of glory at this year's awards banquet next week.

But it's not too late to put a stop to this!

Just make sure that you email info that this guy should know about - like how to properly pronounce your name and your team's name, some facts or info about you or your team, some monumental challenge you overcame on the way to earning your championship title, who your sponsors or 'above and beyond' crew / supporters are, what your website is, some funny anecdote or anything else to prevent this guy from making stuff up about you.

Please send info to:

ccm.ccs.mwab@playinthestreet.com

If your email bounces back, add a comment to that effect and resend - the server has been sporatic lately.

Also, if any reader here knows of attendees / recipients that aren't on the board; thank you for taking the time to forward this link or text to them.

Thank you in advance,

Homewrecker

Hey Griff,

Can you tell me what caption you would put under picture #4 of the Oct VIR AMA race where there's this familiar looking dude in a blue shirt trying to get in the picture with Jamie Hacking?    HMMMMMMMmmmmm?

Too funny ...

No need to justify your visit to the site. Photos of Super Dave? Now that has me concerned ...

:)

I remember that moment well. Jamie just lost the championship by one point. His emotion in VC was beyond description. His frustration was like I've never seen before. He looked as though he wanted to peel off his face. I remember Keith and Tom and his fiance consoling him and watching him fight through his interview with Greg. What a moment ...

The arrangement for VC at that race was such that Speed did their interviews prior to the on-site PA, so I had to wait until Greg was done. I took that opportunity to listen to each interview - to compliment my own observations and prepared questions and also to adhere to one of the fundamentals of interviewing - never ask a question that you don't know the answer to. So, Greg was my guinea pig. I was leaning in to listen while staying out of the shot.

For a caption ... hmmm ...

1. Kate, Mona, Jamie ... Kate, Mona, Jamie ... Good thing I don't have to pick tonight's date just based upon names ...

2. YO! HEY! The OTHER guy in the blue shirt! YO! OVER HERE!

3. Is that ...? Hey - he looks like the Yamaha racer dude on TV ... DAMN! It's HIM!

Pick one - but don't tell anyone ...

;)
