Title: License Renewals
Post by: TiffineyIngram on December 13, 2004, 12:16:13 PM
Howdy all!  Just thought that now that the mailer is out we should go over some of the basics, just for those of us that have short attention spans or Formula 40 dementia (don't get mad, I have a combination of the two).

1.  License applications MUST be mailed.  Not faxed, not emailed, not Homing Pigeoned.  MAILED.  There is a release at the bottom, and we must have an origional signature.  No exceptions.

2.  If you are on the bump list, you MUST include your letter with your license application.  I cannot review a petition without a license application and vice versa (if you're bumped).

3.  I will be posting a list of licenses received every few days.  If your name isn't on the list you have either a) asked for a new number, thus your license cannot be entered until after January 23rd,  b) filled out or sent in an inaccurate form (not signed, wrong year, etc) so we have mailed it back to you,  c) your credit card/check has been declined, or  d) all of the above.  Please be a little patient, however if you'd like to check on the status of your license feel free to call in about a week after you mail it.  We should be able to tell you what stage it is in.

4.  Any time you have a question, please call.  We are here to answer any question, great or small, and try to solve any problems that come up.  Without you, there's no us.

If the gracious Queen Dawn would make this a sticky I would be eternally grateful, that way I can add on new licenses to this thread and not clog up the board.

Thank you, and Happy Holidays!

What about us who have raced expert for a couple years and aren't getting any better? My bike is getting outdated, I'm getting out of shape, but I love racing.  :P ;)

Can we go back to amateur or get one race a weekend for non-competitive experts?  ;D

Post by: TiffineyIngram on December 14, 2004, 10:35:07 AM
Oh my gosh.

Yep, the online form is fine, just print it out and mail it in.  You don't need to wait for your mailer to come to you in the mail.

You can petition to be bumped back to amateur, same rules apply as those who are asking to stay amateur.

Wait a second?  What happened to the "Fasttrax" thing?  Am I still in Great Lakes region or am I MW  ???

What is the "real" non-fasttrax region for CCS regarding MI?   ??? ???

I'm in MI, and I don't want to race Fasttrax.  I want to race CCS only.  Fasttrax is Nelson's only according to the current schedule.  No Grattan?   Now, I'm lost.  Also, if I race CCS MW, does my number (35) stay the same or am I going to get a new number because I'm not racing the Fasttrax region?

 ???
Title: Re: License Renewals
Post by: cornercamping on December 14, 2004, 11:53:05 AM
To sum it up, I don't want to race with Fasttrax, even if CCS is sancttioning the event.  I'd rather be CCS MW.

I don't think your region means anything but where your number is assigned from.

Stumpy is licensed in the Great Lakes.  I don't know off hand if we went to anything Great Lakes.  Road America maybe?

Anyway, it really doesn't matter.  They'll still let you come play.

But you do have to show up  ;).

I got it.  Also, according to the flier, there isn't a Great Lakes region anymore.  I also did some investigating on the Fasttrax website, and Bob Stanely made a post saying that they no longer go under CCS or something of that nature.  I don't know.  I just want to keep my number  :D

Hey Tiff,

You'd noted earlier on that the names of those whose license renewal have been received by CCS Central.  Is that still the plan?  Are you guys (and gals) running behind?

I only ask because I mailed my renewal on Dec. 15th.  I'm wondering whether I should mail another renewal form.

1 WITCH.  Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.
       2 WITCH.  Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.
       3 WITCH.  Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!
       1 WITCH.  Round about the caldron go;
    In the poison'd entrails throw.—
    Toad, that under cold stone,
    Days and nights has thirty-one;
    Swelter'd venom sleeping got,
    Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Fillet of a fenny snake,
    In the caldron boil and bake;
    Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
    Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
    Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
    Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
    For a charm of powerful trouble,
    Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       3 WITCH.  Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;
    Witches' mummy; maw and gulf
    Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark;
    Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark;
    Liver of blaspheming Jew;
    Gall of goat, and slips of yew
    Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
    Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
    Finger of birth-strangled babe
    Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,—
    Make the gruel thick and slab:
    Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
    For the ingrediants of our caldron.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Cool it with a baboon's blood,
    Then the charm is firm and good.

You're killing me Rick! ;D
I remember when I used to work for a firm that built medical trailers.  The engineers would blueprint a prototype, and we'd build it.  Now, everybody but an engineer knows that two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.  We'd just sort everything out in the shop and build something that actually worked.  Then the engineers would come out of the office to measure, photograph, and redraw the prints.... ::)
