Title: Help finding good deals
Post by: Lowe119 on November 02, 2002, 07:12:29 AM
Is there a good place to find a used set of wheels? I would like to get a spare for rain tires. There are hundreds of squids who total their bikes and these parts have to go somewhere..... I see trucks on the road with mangled bikes and I want to know where they are going.

Who picks these up and how can I get my hands on these parts? Can y'all help me figure out how to get my hands on these used gems? :)

PS I'm looking for my '00 R6

Thanks.
Do I take a chance at getting bad or damaged wheels on EBAY?  Is there any protection for me when I order from someone I don't know who wants to get rid of his junk wheels?  ???

From what I have been told ......

The R1 and R6 fronts are the same - except for bearings or spacers.

The rears are different.

That is just what a couple people told me. I could be wrong.

r1 Rear wheel is wider for the 190 tires. Front wheels are the same.
