Pacific points are now up. Please email me if you see any inconsistencies with what I have vs. what you show.
Southwest points will be up by tomorrow morning. They are a bit more complicated (no, I won't go into why), so it will take me a few more hours.
Southwest points are now up as well.
Happy Holidays!
Thanks! ;)
Thanks again Tiffiney and others! When you're tired of that DOS based program, give me a ring.
Thanks Tiffany-
Happy Holidays!
Hey Tiffiney:
Thanks for the posting!!!
#731 Pacific / Southwest
Hey Steve!!! How did you manage to get 7th in BOTH regions?? :o :o
Did you see I finished 3rd in the SW? ;D SWEET!!
Look at the top ten in the SW and Pacific regions. Over half are SV650 riders like you and me!! ::)
Steven says hi, and he said he is coming for you next year!! Believe it or not, he is going to do a track day this Sunday. I guess when someone isn't ancient like us that they can heal broken ribs in a couple weeks!! >:(
ccsv :-/
Quoteccsv :-/
No kidding...at least out here. I hope we still exist though. Have you seen the tentative schedule? Yikes.
-Brian
Do we get a Pacific banquet if there is no Pacific Region?
What a shame huh Brian, we don't get to race against
SV's and we have all that extra time and money for
AFM and WERA :P
Mike: NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!
There are classes for SV650's in Wera and AFM. I was hoping to be able to do the WERA 6 hour endurance race at Willow, but there may be a conflict with the SW schedule! :(
I may still go to some of the WERA West races with my son Steven, and our super zoomy mechanic buddy Mr Q Nealy! ;D
That is exactly correct.... There are classes for SV's
in other clubs.
Which clarifies my point! Thank you.
CCS makes SV's legal in ALL classes, and just lumps
every other bike in with them.
It would be almost impossible to take an overall points
championship, with CCS, on anything other than an SV.
I will be more than happy to run with SV's in the future.
Please just hold your line in the corners and don't be
startled when a smokey blur passes your street bike. ;D
Ill just beep my horn when you go by! ;D
An SV650 isn't legal for Ultralightweight Superbike!! ::)
Just out of curiosity, how much contingency does Yamaha pay out for the TZ? 8)
If you are riding a TZ250, your bike is really only competitive in one class, LWGP, but the SV650 is THE bike to have in LWSS, LWSB, GT Lights, and LW Formula 40. I would say that an SV650 is more bang for the buck then a TZ250!! But I really love the 2 strokes, so don't think I am bashing you or your bike! I have thought once or twice about an Aprilla 250!! :P
FWIW--95% of championship winners do not own SVs.
The Lightweight classes (i.e.-Lightweight Supersport, etc) are for Lightweight bikes (i.e.-SVs). I don't know what you guys are talking about.

A rider with an SV could theoretically enter almost every race (LWSS, LWSB, LWGP, MWSS, MWSB, MWGP, HWSS, HWSB, ULSS, ULGP, Thunderbike, Supertwins, GTL, GTU, GTU - I count 15 classes). Say you average out to finishing 20th, thats 31 points per race, or 465 per weekend. If your region has 8 races, two of which are double points and two twin sprints, that's 5580 points (and a whole lot of money).
In SW/Pac most of the guys in the top ten points run an SV, usually with one or more other bikes.

Hi, Tiffiney, here are some figures for the SW Region's Expert class champions:
There are a total of 18 classes
Matt Buck won 7(!) :o
I won 4 ;D
Jason Catching won 1
Adding those up, 12 classes were won with racers that have SV650's. That is 66% of the class champions raced SV650's, or in more enlightening terms, only 34% of the class Champions DO NOT race SV650's. Now a few of those classes were won with bikes other than SV650's, but even factoring that in, 7 of the class champions were riding SV650's in the class. LWSS, LWSB, LWGP, GT Lights, Super Twins, Thunderbike, Lightweight Formula 40. That is 39% of the classes!!
Pacific Overall Champion: Catching
SW Overall: Buck
Total Overall Champions: 2
Both race SV650's
That is 100%!!
:o
THAT"S what we are talking about.
Originally I was talking Overall (because of the
possibillity for soo many points) but those stats
are even better.
Hey Ray!
Glad to see you did your home work! SV's rock at least for us. Steve's coming to get me huh? How about his Ol' Man??!!
Kinda bummed about the ommition of Pacific for 2005 but I'm sure that the past Pacific racers will make a honest attempt to do SW.
Come and get me!!! I'll beep when you go by.
See you in March Hymers.
Steve ;D
