Please read this short article and respond with the link provided there, it will only take 5 minutes and can help to save your ability to be covered by health insurance. This is a very serious loophole that the AMA is trying to get closed. :-/

This bill will be before the House of Representatives very soon, any extra influence we can give to our Representatives may help to sway their vote!
Thanks Mike. That's a big deal for sure. And with the response format that the AMA has, there's no excuse not to cast your vote.

being air lifted from the track costs a lot of money.

A very good idea!
I can say first hand :( that a serious wreck is expensive. . . like about $90K expensive!
And, insurance companies don't like to pay for high risk sports.
Avoid bankruptcy and take a quick minute to do this.
Done. less than 2 minutes. I'm suprised that it passed the senate so soundly!! Let's hope the same for the house...
"Because of this loophole, someone who participates in motorcycling, snowmobiling, running or walking could be denied health care coverage, while someone who is injured while drinking and driving a car would be protected," Senator Feingold said. "It is time that Congress corrected this so that those who are abiding by the law are not denied coverage."
Your tax dollars at work. Sheesh. Maybe they'll get it right this time.

It's easy to send an e-mail, just enter your zip code and they direct you to the correct congressman.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me about important
legislation pending before the U.S. Congress.
Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that work on the legislation you
mentioned in your letter will be completed before the 108th
Congress recesses for the year.
Although Congress is expected to reconvene in early December to
complete work on the intelligence reform bill, it is extremely
unlikely that other legislation will be acted upon during that
timeframe. As such, all pending legislation will be considered
"dead" at the end of the 108th Congress. Members, of course, have
the option of reintroducing the legislation during the 109th
Congress.
Thank you again for writing.
Very Truly Yours,
Henry J. Hyde
