Title: My 02 SV650 project: Pics!
Post by: dwilson on November 30, 2004, 07:44:18 AM
With the bike almost 'done' I thought I'd share some pics...

Thanks to google image search I identified the tail as coming from a 1971 Kawasaki H2 (not H1 like I thought).  You will NOT see me using this subframe/tail assy at the track, with all the work it took to make it I'd cry if I broke it... I already have a stock subframe and plastics for track use  ;D

And now for the fabrication pics...
My inner fender...

Startting with an old aluminum Diehard battery sign  ;)  A piece of 1860's railroad track makes a workable sheet-metal brake...

Side covers made of lucite and tinted with limo tint... I was suprised how easy it was to cut with a scroll saw...
