Title: First Annual CCS Midwest Calendar
Post by: SliderPhoto on October 28, 2002, 10:05:08 AM
OK, details are a bit sketchy right now, I'm looking for outside printing and the like but here's the idea: a flip-style 2003 calendar with photos from the past year at CCS events I attended.

Next month some time I'll start taking nominations for which photos to put in the calendar and then you'll be able to vote online.

I'd like the calendar to contain 2003 event schedule, so it might be a weird calendar that goes from February to January, but that will be OK if we do it that way each year.

I will also be accepting advertisers for the calendar. I plan to put advertising fees towards the cost of printing so that the calendars are less expensive.

Let me know your ideas and whether you would be interested in buying one. I'd like to keep the cost around $15.

I think that's an awesome idea...here are my ideas for photos...

Definitely a pic of Wuytack and TZDeSioux battling it out...
Rhiannon showing Ed Key a wheel or two...
Tez, Weeden, and Kevin Gordon leading the pack in every race...
Our gorgeous scoring girls! (Come on, they're awesome)
And last, but certainly not least, a pic of the shrink-wrapped work that Casper did to Edgar's bike!

Great idea Jack.  I like all of Tiffany's ideas as well.  I don't think I'm fast enough to appear in your calendar, so can you just put a small pic of me under the day July 31, my birthday?

I don't think it should matter what lap times you turn. The calendar should represent everyone who races. From people like us to people like Kevin Gordon. :)

Agreed. And I am more than confident that jack will do a great job.   I was just looking for a little sympathy...

And of course, I would be happy to be on the November page (my birth month) in a thong... :o

Excellent idea Jack!

The Road A hi-side shot of Purk (I think?) is a *must*

I'll pitch in $10.00 to keep Dave's thong pic out ;-)

From my experience with the shirts & stickers, TAKE PRE-ORDERS! Everyone says how great they are and how much you want them, but when you drop $500 to have them made and are stuck $350 upside down, it sucks...

$10?  You're too cheap.  I'll pay a $100 to put it in!   ;D

I agree, I might end up taking pre-orders. I just wanted to get the ball rolling and see what the interest would be. Looks good.

Dave, uh, I'm not taking that picture!  ;D

Wait a minute, I thought there were Super-Dave thong pix. Dawn...wasn't that your job? If Jack won't put 'em in the calendar, you can donate 'em to the Wegman fund and Gordie can have a hoot taking bids on whether to reveal them or keep 'em hidden. :o

Well, I guess I could be convinced to offer it as a special insert or fold-out. ;D But only if Super Dave is wearing his cape! ;D ::)

But I think Dave might be better off with his own calendar for next year. What type of bike are you getting Dave? Aprilia? ;D ::) :P

Sorry....

Dave didn't drop his drawers for me.  It was a bit chilly at Gingerman.

Dawn   :)

Chilly, yeah.  Shrinkage and nipplie... ::)

Cape, but (no pun intended I want to wear my mask then too!

You'd have to have bids on revealing them.  I'm not shy...LOL!

Bike for me?  I need an R1...yeah...

I'm thinking a nice black one, the thong I mean...
