Post by: cornercamping on November 09, 2004, 03:42:28 PM
Huh  ???  Anyone use these new tires yet?  Any good?  Better than the last generation pilots?  MotoGP derived?  Warm up quicker?  Softest Rubber?    Details people, I need details...  ;D

I have used them. Awesome tires, better lean angle, less warm up time, incredible grip. What else is there to say?

Hey Edgar! I love my PP's, amazing grip even in this psuedo cold weather we have here in Chicago.  Out last night, have to keep reminding myself my jeans don't have sliders on them.

The neat thing is the black marks you can leave in your wake.  I tried them out on Super Dave's bike and he said I was leaving lines behind me through T4 at Blackhawk.

Isn't there a race version coming out next season?

Well, they had some of the Power Race out at Homestead for the ROC. Yes, a full race version is coming out commercially very shortly.

What kind of price point are the race versions going to be at?

I don't think the price has been set yet, but from what I have heard, they will be priced lower than this years Pilot II's.

No...  I was thinking more along the lines that it's really important to have the latest in tire design on your bike.

It's especially important that you can fully utilize all that the tire is capable of delivering while it sits on the side stand in your garage!

The contact patch of the tire to the concrete is so critical from the lean angle you achieve while propped over and it's sitting still;D

Almost as important as the VROOM, VROOM noises you make while pretending to ride :P
