.... what would happen as the odometer on my car turn over to 200,000 miles.
- - Nothing - -
Until it turned to 200,002 and then I had to hit the brakes and blew a break line. LOL!!! Fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately) I have experience driving vehicles in not so road worthy condition and made it home safely. Well, I see Paul has some more work to do. ;)
Good thing we have a spare vehicle or Paul would have been driving the motor home to work.
Dawn :D
That's so funny. :)
Sorry it happened though.

Dawn, don't say it's true. :o :'( We're only a few hundred miles from the 200K mark on the Mx6.
Isn't it cool to drive 'em into the ground? ;) ;D
226k+ on the pimp van and she's still strong...
247165 on my '97 chevy 4x4 work truck. never had engine problems but everything else has been replaced, some parts twice ;D
I had a 88 GMC 3/4 ton with 323,000. I bought with 275,000. I don't know if anything had been done to it before I bought it. The only thing I replaced was the u-joints. :)
My old teal green 92 Sonoma 4x4 had 186K on it when I sold it after having for 8 yrs. Went through 3 water pumps, 9 sets of torsion bar isolators, 4 pairs of ujoints on the rear shaft (front never were replaced), 1 heater core, 1 front diff vaccuum actuator, 4 sets of front rotors and pads, 2 sets rear brake shoes, 3 tailgate handles, 2 dozen guide clips for the driver door window, 1 drivers seat belt assembly (OEM's mechanism rusted at 110K), 16 ignition modules (they blew every 6 months for some reason), 3 sets of plugs, 3 sets of shocks, 2 front hub/bearing assemblies, 2 alternators, 4 engine belts, 65 (approx) oil changes, 5 sets of tires, 3 batteries, 3 sets of exhausts, 1 set new buckets (replaced bench) and one complete warranty paint job. But still had the original clutch in since I bought it new.:D
And a partridge in a pear tree...
Tiff, oh no you di'n't! :o
It's not close to holidays...it's not close to holidays... ;)
Let's see...
My '73 Volvo 1800ES shows 042000 on the odo, but I don't believe it. Though I do think it's under 100k
My '57 Chevy pickup has either 140k, 240k, or 340k, judging on wear and assuming it's the original speedo.
My '64 Triumph TR-4 has had a few different speedos in it so who knows. The engine has about 40k and the tranny/clutch about 15k. Not too bad, my dad has another TR-4 that's almost to 500k, has the original engine block, head, tranny housing, and the rear end has never been opened except for oil changes.
-z.
My 1994 Probe is at about 159K, My brother's 89 Toyota Truck is at about 204K, and my other brother's car is at about 138K.
So, between our 3 cars, about 500K miles.
We're starting to get better at dealing with high mileage cars, too. ;D
The 1997 Jeep just hit 189K Buy this winter it will hit the 200K mark.
Smoke, did you see my post last week with my address in it? Just making sure.
My 1979 motorhome is up to 17,000 now....
100,666 on the Little White Car...
127,000 on the Big Blue Car...
90,000 on the van.
Not so much... but getting there!
Alright....
Here's my run down...
185,000 on 88 Dodge Ram Charger
200,015 on 91 Buick Park Ave
117,845 on 90 Buick Regal
170,000 on 92 Dodge Diesel
180,000 on 69 Ford F150
1,810 on 05 Funmover
;D
