Just finished watching the races. The only thing I can figure is that he crashed and pitted in the first race, then did something similar is race two.
Jesse are you okay? What happened?
I thought he finished the 1st race.
I didn't watch the 2nd race but he told me he highsided himself big in turn 10 and thought he broke his ankle.
Of course, he said that with a big braces smile while his parents packed up to continue south to the GNF.
Cool kid, he is.

Broke ankle, then I think he broke a finger or something at Atlanta.

Dave, it wasn't his finger. He lost his hand, cut off clean in a crash that involved burning a hole right through the armco. The next day he had a new hand, which he grew back overnight in a salamander-like fashion.
He's amazing.
Bah... Jessie Schmessie. He made the mistake of telling me one of his secrets at RA earlier this year... and I'm going to beat him with it next year - just waiting for my patent application to be approved for "tire coolers"
