Title: On board @ Summit Shenandoah Course
Post by: cbrf4_269 on October 14, 2004, 02:16:54 PM
Sorry, but this is the WORST track that I have EVER seen.   Seriously, do they even think this is close to being safe?  There is one place on this track that I can see for sure that some one will be plowing into.  See if you can find it.

We should make it a game, how many places on this track can you find that will kill some one?

took forever to daonload., but ., OUCH ., oh my god., you have got to be kidding me,. there is 1 spot that will kill people., no lie., and a couple other., the wall is about 20-30 feet off the track mid-turn., but that 1 spot you would have o pick up your head to miss the wall at race pace...

no F'n way

Who was running the course?  Did you guys just go to test or what?

is that going to be the final layout?  Will they listen to advice and make the track bike-worthy?

thanks for the clip, up until now all i've seen are pics.

First off that is the slowest web site in history. Second if your scared dont ride on it! No one is going to force you to ride on it! and yes they are making improvements. read older post's, kevin elliot visited the track and they agreed on the changes that need to be made. So I wish people would stop making comments on a track that isnt finished!

Yeah what Ryan said!

Alot of time was spent riding the track in differnet configurations trying to figure out how to make it safe enough ride.  If the track is not safe no one will race on it!  Last time I checked Kevin Elliot does not live in WV so everyone should be happy that a seperate trip was made to the track just to try and figure out how to make it safe!

It is winter soon do not worry about the track just worry about getting your race bikes overhauled!

Well I think I'll chime in here now after all the other stuff has been said:

My next door Neighbor is good firends with the track owner and races cars. The track onwer had a car sho at his place last sunday. I asked Criag to find out what the deal is with the track.

All per the onwer of Summit Ponit
1. "The track is not done and will not be done untill next year".
2. "If anyone thought they were going to get on that track this year they were crazy.  Yes we scheduled events on the track but it was a mistake."
3. The main track will be torn up and re paved within the next two years.

it looks to me like there are alot of walls that are close to the track, and obviously some curbing needs to be installed, it looks fun, but the walls dont look like fun,
